I agree, I'm not a fan of "boss fights", nor "levelling" NPCs. But KCD somewhat dilutes this well, apart for a couple. But on the first bandit camp raid, it felt weird being part of a large battle full of people and suddently Ipm fighting the leader alone lol.

i can no longer go back to the "mash button to make NPCs die" systems...

It started long before it was even released, by the same people that started gamergate. Not that it matters that much, but I already despised SJW's and political correctness long before, for more important reasons, like their drive to cancel freedom of speech, freedom of thought, denial of political incorrect scientific facts, and willingness to sanitize facts and history.

Now why does everything suddenly NEEDS to deliver "representation"? Does all movies/shows/games now need to have equal quotas of blacks, whites, yellows, reds, heterosexuals, homosexuals, transgender, dwarves, etc? And more importantly, since when does someone can no longer do their work, being a game or a movie or whatever, like he bloody wants? Did anyone got offended because Black Thunder had a majority of black characters in it?

This was just one of many websites banning users who dared to express their views in favour of the devs.

They even got some so-called historians on the askhistorians reddit to advocate for how racially "diverse" czech republic was in the XV century lol. So SJW no only want to cancel freedom of speech and forbid political incorrect science, now they want to sanitize facts and history as well...

Out of curiosity: I have seen dozens upon dozens of people rallying behind the 'SJW so evil must protect game!" banner, but I havent really found people actively attacking this game at all, either in reviews or in this topic. Same in this topic: people go on and on about how stupid these mysterious others are, but I just dont see this massive attack of evil 'political correct fascists'. Are you sure you are not just falling for a clever marketing stunt?

I know what you mean, but in fact the game is situated in an excellent spot history-wise to dive into the inner workings of Imperial politics.

KCD was racist because there were no coloured people in the game and the designer was also sexist and racist due to online blogs or such.

Its because as usual it was the weeks mockrage, before they moved onto something else.

I'll be honest, Im always going to have a lot.of respect for him after he lead the protests to get the Bohemia interactive employees out of that greek prison when they ended up in there on espionage charges.

Oh no it was way worse than that.

Two of the devs went on a fact finding mission to Limos (which is the island they based Altis on) and ended up in prison on espionage charges.

The chap.who owns warhorse/lead developer everyones hating on right now was drumming up public support and leading protests to get them out while everyone else was faffing about.

He wasnt working for bohemia. He just lead the charge to get them out.

So, after all the hype I downloaded the game on my PS4, and I cannot get past the fight with the hammer and nails guy, the lag with L1, L2, R1, and R2 is certain to ensure one loses any fight, I gave up on the fight scene after 5 attempts, then the other approach, got lock picks and tried to pick his locker, after the 2nd broken lock pick I was arrested, The guards don't react to a major fight but are at the scene of a broken lock pick asap, absurd. Nope not for me.

Delete game and preserve sanity.

You dont have to fight him. You dont even need to get the hammer and nails. Its an open world, if you cant do it one way, find out another.

On a serious note - it's a good game.

Well, I followed that discussion in part, and the developer would have saved them all a lot of trouble by just answering diplomatically. Opinions will come that he doesn't like, that's just the nature of big releases.

I tried it - but it was unplayable for me due to gamebreaking bugs (lockpick mechanics had no cursor, dialogue screens would freeze up randomly). I have a pretty standard setup with 7700k and GTx1080 and updated drivers, so nothing there that should cause that.

What little I saw seemed good, except for psychic guards and everybody in the whole world knowing your name. There is probably a very good gaming experience in there if they can rid it off bugs or for people who don't experience them.

The main developer should really re-visit his tweets about the poor state of buggy Bethesda releases and how that would never happen with Kingdom. ^^

Bug-wise after the last update I no longer have game breaking bugs, only a few annoying ones like invisible obstacles on a couple of stairs.

There are at least 4 different ways to get the hammer and nails. And only in 2 you have to fight the guy, one of them not alone. As for lockpicking, if you're seen doing it, someone will call the guards.

That's one of the wonderful things about this game, if one approach doesn't work for you, you can try several others.

You miss my point, I'm trying to be proficient at fighting, yet the mechanics aren't conducive to this, at least not with my PS4 controller, to laggy. I was trying to become proficient at lock picking as its a terrible mechanic, and I wasn't seen but heard to be lock picking due to broken lock picks, absurd.

There's lots of fighting and lock picking throughout the game, I would'v thought that in the training part of the game one would be allowed to make mistakes and to be guided, obviously not, anyway its gone, I'm back at FO4 whilst the powers that be at FD restore my flight status in ED.

That's not all of the training part. You simply can't expect to be god right from the beginning. Since they need to rework lockpicking for controllers you're better off beating him to submission or try something else. With backup it's super easy. And if you just spam jab attacks it should be just as well. The first lockpicking introduction is actually after the prologue.
