What was the ship that you brought out to Colonia your first time out?

An Asp Explorer. I was out in the Bubble nebula when the station was found in what is now Colonia after its mis-jump so decided to pop over and say hi.

A Python. Not engineered. Pre Neutron Boosts. 108t of cargo. 18Ly jump range. Buckyballing to the max! :D

First time, mildly engineered AspX with 40ly range (back in the very early days when we only got 1 item per drop and had to cart about commodities), which took nearly a month to prepare. This time, heavily engineered T7 with a 42ly range which took less that 4 days to prepare.

Progress. :)

Cobra IV....before engineers ..... and before neutron jumping ... took forever .... I took the suicidewinder back to save my sanity. :(

2nd time it was in a well-engineered AspX .... made such a welcome change! The neutron highway back and some of the intermediate stations made a big improvement to the journey [smile]

I rather like the idea of taking a Cobra MkIV, parking it as far away as possible and just leaving it there ;)

Is going out to colonia still a thing? Or is it something that ironically done by ironic hipsters because ironic?

All the cool kids are hanging out at Station X in the Crab nebula now, but as soon as another seven people arrive it will be far too mainstream.

A mildly engineered mining Python, laden with 120t stuff for the first CG out there and 8(!) limpets because you couldn't buy them out there back then and the word was about a mining CG as a follow up...

The Voyage of the 1000 jumps, because of 25 ly laden jump range... My mining gear is still out there, left it behind for a better jump range
