Ok some entertainment and listening for you. Elite on the Amiga and ST

Hello
Have a listen to Elite on the Atari ST back in the 90s an 16bit machine.
it compares that the ST was faster than the Amiga doing Filled Vector graphic games.
but the Amiga had a better sound chip.

after seeing this I thought your complaining about Elite now. look how far it has come.

oh and this does not show Frontier Elite II on the Amiga but shows the Commodore Amiga
nice to listen to

Have fun in the stars as you all are if you play elite
CMDR Dibble

Nice one. Recalls all those playground squabbles over which was better, the Amiga or the ST ("but, but, the Amiga has true multitasking!").

I was so glad I had my A1200 to play frontier on by that point.
Whilst the speccy was my 1st computer and will always have a special place, I suspect my A500 will be the best computer I will ever own (relatively)

I'm afraid I went straight from the C64 to PC in the early 90's (a glorious AMD 386 with a massive 40MB hard drive) but it seemed to me a lot of my mates arguing about the better machine of the two was strangely reminiscent of my playground arguments over C64 vs. Speccy. Pretty similar really - Spectrum was a much quicker machine but C64 had all those lovely custom sound chips.

PC version of FE:2 was the definitive version of course with the much higher framerates and glorious Adlib soundtrack

*ducks for cover*

I'm rather fond of the A500 too. I don't miss the disk swapping though. The Amiga had character and the era was special, the demo scene was something particularly awesome..

I thought that matter was settled. The Amiga was better :D

I had Frontier: Elite II on a 520 ST E with an upgraded sound card I found Frontier: Elite II the the loft everything but missing the star map in the box :(
