A nice diversion from all the negative posts....it really is a gorgeous Galaxy out there.

your post is not positive you are trying to distract from legitimate posts maybe because you are an long time "elite" poster who never have any difficulties because you are not playing or play testing the game other than road to riches exploit or exploring on your own
but that is fine
keep killing it 3.0 will not be 4.0 because of negative threads like yours

we are not negative just because we point out problems
Do you only talk in cryptic riddles or something? Nothing you're saying makes any sense!

Here's a nice one from Cmdr Z0rlac on Reddit.

Yes, the cure for beige has been outstanding!

In keeping with the theme of this positive thread, here are some more pictures of the wonderful galaxy changes which 3.0 brought to the game:

Those are awesome pics, Mengy. Definitely put mine to shame ;). Sadly my Radeon Card is giving me BSOD's on a regular basis....so my opportunities to play-& take pics- have been very limited :(.

LMAO, yes, they will almost certainly kill the jump-Honk-jump aspect, and actually make us work at exploring (in detail at least), and just wait for the plethora of "Exploring is dead!" threads. But if they tweak the payout for detailed exploring, and a slight nerf to jump-Honk it will not be a bad thing.
I'm hoping for seriously weird planetary scenery and some new toys.

I hope there will be more danger out there, but more reward as well.....like the White Dwarf/Neutron Star boost. It would be nice, for example, if regular stars could potentially.be more dangerous to just park & scoop from....due to solar ejecta. Also, allow for closer & more high speed approaches to a star to refuel quicker.....but at added risk of damage. Lastly, allow exploration tools to highlight "hot spots" on a star, where you can refuel faster.....but its more unstable, so more chance of ejecta.

Nice pics guys, 3.0 sure looks great.

I'm finding a variety of planets absolutely breathtaking in 3.0 and am having a blast exploring - just taking in the sights. This after having practically given up on the game for a while due to the boring beige plague. So it's a win for me, sorry it's not rocking some people's boats.

Incidentally, I've discovered that using the 'clarity' shader in the most recent Reshade seems to bring out even more detail in the new planets, it's well worth trying out.

Is it just me that would really like them to have proper exposure adjustment in this game? It's not so bad in the OP's screenshots, but often you can be looking at the day side of a planet not far from its star, and you can still see the Milky Way and loads of colourful gas clouds in the background. Makes it feel way less immersive, plus it means there's far less variety in what players see as they travel through space!
Space is beautiful because of the starkness of the contrast between dashes of brilliant colour and light - planets and stars - and the inky darkness of the void, where if you look in the right direction you can see the massive beauty of something like the side-on view of the galaxy faintly visible (if there's nothing bright in your field of view).

Space Engine does this incredibly well, and it's one of the reasons it actually looks better than E:D in most situations even though it's only developed by a single person!

What is cryptic ?
Your post attacks other people's posts ! By its title.
So
Every thing else is negative apart from me (and vapid screenshots of planets THEY cannot see or get to see anymore)
This attempt at a simulation/game is great but really no better than x4 alpha or others so we need fdev not to focus on the graphics but fixing the basics.
Road to riches is an exploit to bypass thinking in the game and is no better than skimmer missions.
If you miss sell the game saying things like:
galactic map work, wing missions work
Or materials work just because it did once for you
Is not the guarantee it does.
And
Destroys the credibility of excellent graphics system in place

What is sad is that trolls like you are still here whining & moaning about how much you supposedly hate the game. If ya hate it so much, do us all a favour & go play something else, 'cause I am sick & tired of yohr vapid whining & trolling.

My ignore list grows apace.

Word. Truly pathetic. Now this list of which you speak..........

Agreed. Thankfully the lighting engine for the whole game is being reworked for the Q4 update, so Frontier seems to feel it's important too. If they do a great job and give us something like what Space Engine has in it then we will be in for a real treat.

So long as there are options to turn it on/off or graduations ... because we aren't all in a dark room and with a big screen.

Personally, I am using a gaming laptop, and the quality of visibility of in-game features in the galaxy varies enormously between day and night because of ambient light and its effects on my eyes (it's a well-known effect that affects post-processing of photographic images).

FD are (unfortunately) having to cater for all types of display situations.
