No. I send out 5 when mining.

Each type of Limpet controller can control a certain amount of limpets (from 1 to 3 generally -- you can see this in outfitting).

But you can have more than one limpet controller installed in your ship, allowing you to have even more limpets active.

Four fer mining and two fer general farming mats...I actually ddnt like them very much at all but the alternative...well not all ships are easy the scoop with and it takes time. They a necessary evil fer me as I go through upwards of 50 a day ^

My mining Anaconda uses 11 limpets at a time.

12 if you count the prospector.

My mining Python has 2x5A and 2x3A collector controllers for a total of 10 limpets at the same time.
Alongside the 3xC2 fixed mining lasers and 1A prospector limpet, it polishes off a rock in short order.

A maximum of two PROSPECTING limpets per prospecting limpet controller. The COLLECTOR limpet max is three per collector limpet controller. You can double-up on controllers. o7

When you send them out make sure you're not targeting anything, if your targeting something they can pick up they'll go pick the targeted item and then expire. Send them out without a target and they'll pick up everything in range and only expire when their time runs out.

thanks for this - i noticed if i didn't target anything , they still went about picking up stuff .
