Chieften SRV bay shenanigans

I bought a chieftain and for some reason I can’t fit an SRV
I can fit the bay, but not the SRV itself.

I removed the shield on the chief in case it was a power thing. But it’s clearly not.

No idea what muppetry im guilty of here or if it’s some sort of bug.
Any thoughts?

Sell the vehicle bay and buy a new one. That should reset any bug that may have crept in there. Happened to me, too, once, though I don't remember which ship that was.

Try restarting The ED client
do you have a srv bay on another ship with srv allready loaded if so you could try to transfer the bay to the chieften

Platform is PS4
I’ve tried buying one from scratch at founders world and also transferred one from my asp. After transfer the bay is empty and I’m directed to buy a new srv

Have you tried switching places for the module? Its wasted in the number 4 anyway, upgrde the fuel scoop and place the srv bay in the number 2

Personally, I wouldn't recommend trying that.

It sounds like a clever workaround but if there's something "broken", you don't want to try and work around it because chances are something will happen later on and it'll bite you on the butt.

Better to just find a way to make the problem go away properly.

Had the same issue, just sell bay and buy new one, it should work.

This ^^^^

And mine was caused by transferring one from storage. It doesn't seem to like doing that with Srv bays. But the above fixed it right away.

Never tried with an SRV bay but I've had no trouble moving loaded fighter hangars since 3.0. Maybe PS4 specific bug?

Sorted now. Not sure what fixed it, I’d tried buying new ones, transferring existing ones, moving into different slots. I tried all that again while screaming “work you utter b@$%#>d” and that fixed it.
