Can we get a definition of "meaningful pvp"?

Since they only thing you really get from it is a bounty, I'm missing what part of it is meaningful.

Sure, maybe in some avenue of Power Play there is some little bonus for killing players pledged to other powers... but this is really an exploit-in-waiting, and I'll come back to that in a minute.

You don't get materials, you don't get cargo, you don't get anything from blowing up player ships - other than wanted. There's no leaderboard for player kills, no achievements, no anything. So it really lacks any sort of meaning. Can't kill what isn't there.

As an Exploit however... so you're pledged to some bloodthirsty faction that awards merits for killing ships belong to some other faction. You load up your Warvette, head over to 7600 Km from a station, where you keep your second account parked in a Cheapwinder. Pull out, fly out to meet your Warvette, blow it up, rebuy and repeat until you're sitting on 100k Merits to turn in - switch over to your handy profit-maker Cobra, fly out to meet your Warvette again, dump yourself some cargo to cover all those rebuys, unbalance the unbalance of power, and profit twice. Congratulations, you've gamed the play.

Yet another attempt by T90K to obviously troll forum users he disagrees with because FD won't remove the mode system or isolate the effect on the BGS in Open play.

How's that "winning" going for you again?
