So I says to me missus, I hope the mods aint closed that thread so I get a wee giggle after the depressing evening soaps...nice one mods I owe ye one.

Ah no wait I completely forgot...Im not married...and yet the threads still going strong...how weird is that?

Nicely said. I've noticed a decline in surgical mod precision lately. Figured it was for the same reason.

Using kb/m because you're a student on a laptop your parents bought for you and you can't afford anything else is one thing. Using kb/m because it's the meta is another.
I'm not interested in flying a spaceship with the same controls I use in minecraft, I want to use a HOTAS. Not because it's better, because it feels like what I should be flying a spaceship with. If I play some racing sim I use a wheel & pedals. If I want to play minecraft I use kb/m or a gamepad.

You have min/maxed your ship, you min/max your controller (if a gamepad was the meta you'd use one, right?). I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying it's hypocritical to mock others for min/maxing when the typical PvP warrior is so focused on getting the best dps possible they miss out on the rest of the game.

By all means play your own way, for whatever reason, but remember the fox with no tail ;)

Super high DPI... no... my mouse DPI is only 1600, that's not going to win any CS-GO matches anytime soon. I use a mouse because the other 10% of my input is through touch or graphics tablet, I sure as hell ain't going to use a touch input for playing elite.

my "min/maxed" ship is not a meta ship by a long shot... my method of attack is not meta, nothing I do in this game is meta for me.. in fact you can ask most PVPers and they will tell you I consistently go against the meta.

Your comments are nothing more than childish crying.

They are essentially sick of the current population of PvP-kiddies, they also do not have to prove anything to anyone. They also do not have patience for these kinds of idiotic debates and people attempting to justify certain PvP behaviours.

What DPI do you set your mouse to? I've set mine to 800, anything over seems almost too fast.

Why should there be any issue with what kind of input devices a player uses? PC's come with M&K, it makes sense that a PC game should be made for their use. I use a HOTAS for the fun I get from it's use. It's nutty to imply an advantage to something everyone has access to. If someone thinks they offer a benefit, they should use them. Problem solved.

Personally i dislike the function because it puts more strain on the instancing system, but that’s besides the point.

As long as it’s there, it’s a tool. People should use it the way they want.

@Riverside, I should have known that when you started throwing Aesop's fables at us that you were done and just grinding metal. I'm still scratching my head at how you've a)managed to act like Rinzler "started" anything and b)managed to turn using a mouse into a negative attributed mainly to evil min maxing PvPers.

Edit: why don't you spell out the hypocrisy instead of being so esoteric about it?

No you guys turned it into a big thing, I just don't think it's an achievement worthy of note. Play how you like, just don't be a hypocrite about it imo.
