We're not very active either and many have left but you're welcome to stick your name on the list... Fraud Digger got to Beagle Point in his Sidewinder.
Thanks will do. That was one of you chaps was it? I heard about that. Inspirational. Good show.
SAS Exploration Wing Galactic Circumnavigation Expedition
Hell's teeth! That's a vast undertaking for anyone let alone Sidey pilots. I don't think I could set aside two years for this, in fact I know I can't.
It's way too ambitious a plan for me so I'll politely decline the offer. Good luck to you though, hope you pull it off.
What's the matter old boy, not got the belly for it?
Two year trip a little to ambitious for me given all the events at the Bubble at the moment
What's in the Bubble that's so great?
As much as the Expedition is ambitious, it's as much a boycott of the Thargoid content added to the game instead of actually finishing the landable planets and space legs and exploration. And everything.
I'll do it anyway without any support then. I'm currently waiting for Aisling Duval to allow me to buy Prismatic Shields for my combat Sidewinder Black Joke: https://eddp.co/u/klhn4ylC, she has nearly the same armour as a basic Imperial Cutter. Another three weeks then I can get my shields and leave Duval's faction. Then I can head out in my explorer Sidewinder Enterprise: https://eddp.co/u/q7loHaCy, maximum range with SRV 28.13L-y. In the meantime I will work out a new itinerary for the entire Expedition. Tentative launch date 5 November.
Just one question left to settle. Without any support ships with DSS, I have a choice of taking an AFMU to enable me to repair my FSD after using neutron-jumping, be able to effect any other repairs, and will gain nearly a light-year jump range besides, but then have no DSS to discover Jumponium and will have to use known Jumponium Depots to gather materials; or I can take a DSS and possibly discover new Jumponium Depots, and can only use neutron-jumping a few times in the last resort or else my FSD will die. I'm inclined to take the DSS, even with the loss in range. Thoughts?
