Griefer Warning - Guardian ruins sites

You can't dismiss you ship on the ram tah missions because you need to swap cargo. Dismiss / recall simply doesn't work for 101 scans.

well not really... u could simply leave the artifacts on the ground near the ruins site, and go back and forth from the pile. though if offloading and a griefer comes in, then best to jump in ship and fight/flee, or dismiss it.

Or just play in mobius without all the hassle.

Those losers are usually the ones you see on here complaining that there is no one in Open to blow up anymore. All do in large part to their own atian behavior. They then get the bright idea to crash Mobius to resume their Seal Clubbing.

If these players didn't suck at PvP as much as they do, they would be able to meet up with plenty of skilled PvP pilots to engage with. The problem is always back to their lackluster abilities which can only handle noobs and unarmed ships that don't shoot back.

The Pond Scum and Slime Mold of Elite Dangerous if you will.

I've seen you say that these players complain about not enough people being in open several times, but I've never seen a PvP player of any type complaining about a lack of people in open. Can you show me some example of what you're referring too or are you just trying to convince yourself you aren't missing out by playing in solo?

true, but then there is something about jacka## spice that adds that spontaneity to ED. If in mobius, its rules keep the flavor of the game more bland, I am not sure if it would be fun?! Of course, I do not want to have some griefer blowing up my parked ship, but i do like the "risk" and thoughts/plans to mitigate.

There have been a few people who 'demanded' everyone should play open. But you are correct, its been extremely exaggerated by people who want to talk negatively about Open and people in it, in particular pvp-minded people. You know, the "Open is cesspit of psychopaths who cry because we dont want to play with them!" nonsense. :)

Have a look at any thread where the evil of players having mode choice gets mentioned.

Sorry, but that is not the spice I'm looking for if I play a mission in a game that takes me a weekend. I prefer to blaze muh own trail instead of being content for nothing. I love my safe space :D

That's an over-simplification, though. It's actually true that almost no PvP players complain about "not enough people playing in Open." The reason for that is because we've found that more than enough people do in fact play in Open, more than any other mode.

The only time you see PvPers complain about other modes is due to the fact the BGS & PP is so heavily skewed in favor of those in Group/Solo while effecting either in Open is at a disadvantage.

It's ok to switch modes as the mood takes you.

Or, indeed, switch moods as the mode takes you.

I would be totally ok with changing that. Truth to be told I was astonished that I could do "community goals" in solo when I started playing. But that's another can of worms unrelated to "guardian-site ganking is not nice".

Was in the guardian systems (ruins) for 1 week in open.
Saw many people ( also strange ones ^^' ) but no one attacked eachother even unarmed parked ships.

Indeed, met many great people who were happy to swap and trade Guardian Artifacts to active the obelisks.

Though I am not surprised someone would do this, given the number of possible guardian sites one can go it I thought it would be too thin a pickings

Ah, I see the the Commander who shot up my unmanned parked ship has joined this discussion and called me a Defiler of the Ruins.
Must admit, that is not a name I've been called before. (that is not naming and shaming, I hope !!)

So much role-playing. So much immersion. You vile desecrator ;)

Oh, so it's all fine now. That PvP guy is just roleplaying and needs to destroy any ship defiling the ruins because faith...

That this is neither PvP nor roleplay and he's just a virtual bully and jerk should be explained to him by somebody more sensitive than I am I think. :D

If he destroys your ship a second time at the same site, that technically qualifies as denying a player access to an area, and is a violation of the ToS.
