New Things in Pleiades Sector IR-W D1-55

One of our German Cmdrs reported an "Anomolous Signal" in HIP 14909 near Planet 1. There is a known Thargoid Base (TS99 according to Cannon) on Moon 1B. If I am correct this is half way between the Pleiades and California Nebula.

Is there any update regarding this? "Anomolous Signal" was the nomenclature used to identify UA and UP spawns a few patches back, if memory serves.

Looks like all the Eagle Eye UCB have vanished from the game. (Stations are still there). Must have been recent as I was re-recording them to see if they changed - 1-3 were there - 4-6 were not. Just gone back to 1 and that has now gone as well....

Hopefully FD are trying to update the audio for immersion - or possibly bug ;)

GIVE OUR PROBES BACK YOU THIEVING THARGOID SCUM

We'll check this today.
Meanwhile another Cmdr detected a "non-registered communications-signal" at AIN 2, which is rughly 146 ly far from Sol.

HIP 16704 Thargoid Link sounds for verification:

Let me know if you can't see the video. Youtube was playing up while publishing.

Most of the new info is up in the Canonn codex - some fun things they point to. One still to work out.

https://canonn.science/codex/eagle-eye-installations/

Haven't worked out what the msg Arietis Sector ZB-J a10-0 is actually pointing to - ticket was raised. Also note duplicated Eagle Eye messages and some sites only giving 2 messages....

I've figured that one out. It's actually pointing to Glazkov Terminal in Irandan. There's a single typo in the decoded string.

It needs to be:

100 100 101 | 001 111 101 000
010 110 001 | 111 110 101
101 111 | 101 000

Instead of

100 100 101 | 001 111 101 000
010 110 001 | 111 110 100
101 111 | 101 000

I've confirmed this via Thargoid Link Laser Pointer (tm) and have found the Transmitter about 1000km from the station.

Edit: I should point out that the bottom string is what you get from the link. So THARGOID TYPO CONFIRMED!!! :D

Hi Factabulous,

We've had a look at the ticket for this and have gone through the data with a fine tooth comb to make sure this message is pointing to where it should be pointing at.
I can confirm that the message is pointing to the intended location and it is not Arietis Sector ZB-J a10-0.

I'll leave you to work out where as our gracious insect overlor......I mean those terrible thargoids won't want me to ruin their plans.

Thanks

Steve K

Did you discover hip 16704 after hearing new signal from Eagle Eye One?

Technically someone else discovered the new Eagle Eye signal, and I just visited the base, played the sounds to the link, decoded the sounds to confirm the original decoding and then messed around replacing ones and zeroes till I found the correct system for the top message.

I'm absolutely positive that the correct locations are present and correct.
I can't talk about the Thargoids ability to type.

Thanks

Steve K

Heya Steve Kirby,

I know you folks probably can't tell us why we didn't get the correct location. (be it a recording mistake, transcribing error or decoding issue)

But would you at least be able to tell us that you can see where we went wrong? Is it apparent to you folks why your flock has strayed further from god's light?

Also I was curious as to why wasn't this shared in the ticket?

EDIT: AHHHH so it wasn't our fault. folks in canonn have enlightened me to what you meant! XD

Yay - though I need to switch to a faster ship - a 350m/s DBX is no match for these super-fast transmitters - need to make a special fast courier if I want to catch these :D
