Knights of Beneverchio in Avalon: struggling to take control

Nice.... Neighbours in Avalon.. :D

Greetings commanders!

If you need a little bit of help desintigrating some foes in a combatzones, just make a call. My ships can help. :D

Do you have wares? Because I've got coin!

It'll be a honor to have you fight among us, Jäger Kahjit!

If I understand correctly, fighting will start tomorrow after the server tick, so it's going to be a trigger happy Saturday Afternoon!

Cheers to our German friends!

Looking good on our side, so if things are set in motion as planned by tomorrows tick you might fight me visiting.

Though I probably just enter the CZ and snag up all those materials from the wrecks ;)

While this is true, getting 10k for a pure INF mission can be a bit underwhelming. How about a 2:1 ratio, meaning for every 2 pure INF you do one well paying credit one or choosing the Material reward option? Engineering one's ships can also get important at one point to get faster kills in CZ or boosting away from those pesky interdicting gits that want to prevent you delivering your Passengers or goods.
I am with Ryan on this one. You are now a leader LuPoN and that means keeping the troops happy. I call them "Hearts and minds" missions (influence) and for my troops and their huge ships with big rebuy (25 million) and big repair bills (500,000) we do a ratio of 1:2, meaning 1 influence to 2 credit missions.
Happy troops are fighting troops. Thats why I am the Commissar, half fear, half fair.
Good hunting everyone.

Civil War is upon us, with a headstart of 32% for the Knights of Beneverchio versus 23% of the Avalon Organisation!

Thanks again immensely for every tip and support :) see you in Avalon if you make a trip to support us!

Currently doing Tick work and updating and so on, maybe later today (my time). Are most of your Commanders based in Europe aka GMT / CET?

See you on the battlefields, my German friends! :D

I'd have a question on the side: are you only planning to take over the control of the System itself or do you want to take more assets from the Avalon Organisation? Because if the latter is the case you'll need to do quite the work for them to get back up and re-equalise. Just saying :)

The plan is to take back what is the Knights of Beneverchio's: the whole system, so yes, we want to re-equalize afterwards, rinse and repeat :)

Now noob's question: why there is not even one combat zone?

Did you look through the whole System, aka getting into below 1000ls range of each planet? If you did that and still nothing is to be found, try going out of the game completely and back in. Try Solo first, then any PG you might've and then Open.

For whatever reason CZs are easier spawned in Solo and PG then in Open, probably due to the game updating that instance last. So it takes some time and patience to actually get them visible.

If you should not find any CZ even after checking for them through every instance, then you have been struck by an BGS bug and need to do Bounty hunting, since only combat related actions count during a War / Civil War state.

However you already have a very generous gap. Assuming nobody is working against your efforts you could simply let things rest for the next 2 days and should take over the System. Then push AO back up to you and boom, pending another Civil War.

Told that was a noob question: they're starting to pop up, my brother Spartan B99 just found them around Avalon 6 and we're joining the fight ;)

Good to see you followed my recommendation. And it looks like you've found a couple of nearby alllies too.

For most BGS work outside of conflicts with another player faction, numbers aren't the decisive factor - preparation and information is far more important.

It was a great advice indeed! It's always good to listen to advices, because for things you don't know, there's always someone who knows way better than you, and I've found plenty here :)

Thanks again!

Good Day everyone,

Today is a great day, for we have won the Civil War! Noctilux (Coriolis Starport) and the Avalon system's control have passed upon the Knights of Beneverchio even though it still shows us in Civil War.

The aftermath our CMDRs left though is pretty grim: months of struggle and frustration for not being able to make a difference in Avalon, led to an ovearchieving victory where we face now the following internal figures:

Code:
[B]FACTION NAME PENDING STATE	STATE INFLUENCE[/B]
[B][COLOR="#B22222"]Knights of Beneverchio [PLAYER] Civil War	23.5%[/COLOR][/B]
CD-53 136 Partners Boom 19.1%
[I][COLOR="#008000"]Avalon Empire Consulate		Boom▲		Elections	16.4%
Avalon Emperor's Grace Elections	15.2%[/COLOR][/I]
Labour of Avalon Boom 10.4%
[B][COLOR="#B22222"]Avalon Organisation				Civil War	8.6%[/COLOR][/B]
Avalon Gold Society Boom 6.7%

One station out of five, we've just started, and now comes the part where we will push up again the Avalon Organisation because we need to get in more Civil Wars and because we do not want it to enter in any elections, at all, with the other factions.

All of you who helped me, either by replying on this forum, or writing to me in game, or even giving some aid, have been an amazingly wonderful community that marked a solid and positive experience for me in ED, so keep up the great job!

I've seen a couple of our CMDRs that plays every now and then, just log in and have an IMMENSE amount of fun as we were changing things, turning our system's government, and part of that achievement is thanks to you all!

Fly safe everyone, and should you even need friendly faces even for the longest hauling missions, the Knights of Beneverchio will heed your call!

Fly safe!

CMDR LuPoN

Congratulations!

However, you need to make sure that the current 2nd MF (CD-53 136 Partners) is either pending a conflict or is in one elsewhere. Otherwise if you'd try to push AO up again they will clash together and have a pending Election going.

Also, from now on you need to monitor the nearby System of CD-53 136 as well, since AO is present there and needs to be kept from equalisation until you have reached your goal to get them pending another Civil War with you. And repeat that until you have as much assets as you want in Avalon.

Again congratulations on your victory and taking your first steps in your own BGS.

Your journey has merely started indeed...

Well done LuPoN, Elections may not be so bad for you now as trade still counts so if you have high traffic (looks like you do) and you have the main trading station (hopefully you do) then other commanders trading will boost you in an election (and in general)
We have been on both ends with this, with it working for us and against us when we move into a new system.
The more stations you take over the stronger is this effect, to the point where we have not had to do anything in our home system for a whole year, but it took us 6 months to topple a same government faction in a high tech/high traffic system.
Hope that helps.
