Patch Notes Update Update 3.0.3

We’re changing the crime system when it comes to ‘hot’ ships.

The reason for this is that the system of cleaning ‘hot’ modules in storage was creating an unfair punishment, where commanders were removing modules from ‘hot’ ships that only had small bounties on them and then discovered that the cost for cleaning ‘hot’ modules was dramatically more expensive!

From 3.0.3 you will no longer be able to access outfitting at any port whilst in a ‘hot’ ship, thus you will not be able to make any load-out changes. You’re required to first clean the ship by paying off fines and bounties issued against it. Outfitting services will then be restored.

This is COMPLETELY INSANE. You are telling me that because a few folks couldn't handle cleaning their ship before swapping modules that now, as a pirate, I cannot swap ANY of my modules even while in an Anarchy system without paying off my bounty? This is a complete KNEE JERK REACTION, and we will not stand for it. At the very least you MUST allow us to be able to swap hot modules for hot modules or our pirate ships won't be able to even swap in a fuel scoop for travel to our next pirate gig.

Are you fixing Horizons bug that boots you off planet when driving for longer than an hour has happen several times since V3 update or am I the only one????

Hello Commander raymondo the great!

On the KWS we were promised

We seem to be getting only

"The Kill warrant scanner grants a license to kill for any faction bounty linked to the current jurisdiction’s superpower"

unless the patch notes are incomplete?

The patch notes are not as in depth. All this stuff should be in:

* KWS detects all faction bounties from all factions in all systems (not Power bounties or superpower bounties)
* KWS grants license to kill when superpower matches between current jurisdiction and faction bounty
* NPCs have bounties from current jurisdiction, other factions in system, factions in nearby systems and occasionally factions from great distances

One thing that missed the deadline is "KWS prevents reputation loss for destroying ships unless they are criminal faction ships." We'll let you know when this is ready for deployment.

As a lazy player with extremely poor aim who uses the "spray and pray" strategy in all things, I approve of and fully support this proposed change.

This change comes with warning - it will work only when it is obvious ship is wanted - system security or other bounty hunter taking on it - in like interdiction might not work because some pirates aren't wanted in system (as you are their first victim of the day).

So it is considerable corner case. But it will help with nav beacon and RES skirmishes.

Now will pirates start to ask: You have fuel limpets...fill me up or il kill you! Aaarrrgggg :D

If you cant refuel or get a scope that is bad, changing internals should be doable in anarchy pirate bases.

Sandro, it is a bit confusing for me as well...

does it mean superpower bounties are now in for 3.0.3?

PS4 update?

Hi newbee here.

Was playing solo play as the servers announced the wanted to apply some patches (50 minutes, 40, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, 3). Saved and shut down the game.

Now (man mar 19 11:45:52 CET 2018) I can not start the game.

My PS4 says I have the newest version of the game. Last updated says 12/3/2018, version 1.15. However, the game writes that my client is too old: "Connection status: Your client is too old. Please upgrade to the latest version of Elite Dangerous. Elite Dangerous 3.0.2.402 EDH".

I am new to this: How long should I expect to be locked out from the game? When will the updates be available?

Btw: Not entirely impressed that I am locked out from the game.

Regards,

Mads

Improved field for turrets is good but since V3 update my turrets now point in opposite direction to where there firing anyone else have this or is this bug being fixed as well???

Love it. You compensate the people who engineered the guardian stuff but forget the rest of us with high yield cannons.

I think it's worth considering ships drop a new commodity, "Fuel Cannister" when destroyed, - not every time, but enough to provide an option for the players who are on the other side of the law.

Don't think this applies to anarchy systems...

Soon[TM].

While the servers are down, getting updated, no one can play. You will need to wait till the new PS4 client is available and the servers are back online.

When your no.2 panel starts icon overlapping of your friends and commanders around you, the whole panel dies, meaning you cannot communicate, see who's around, use multicrew or read mail. Until you relog.

Dont forget toggling wingman navlock, this comms bug is so gamebreaking.
