The reason for this is that the system of cleaning ‘hot’ modules in storage was creating an unfair punishment, where commanders were removing modules from ‘hot’ ships that only had small bounties on them and then discovered that the cost for cleaning ‘hot’ modules was dramatically more expensive!

From 3.0.3 you will no longer be able to access outfitting at any port whilst in a ‘hot’ ship, thus you will not be able to make any load-out changes. You’re required to first clean the ship by paying off fines and bounties issued against it. Outfitting services will then be restored.

Let me get this straight: Sometimes you had to pay high fees to clean modules (disproportionate to the bounty), so your solution to the problem of cleaning hot modules is... Removing that option entirely?

What am I missing?

"Attacking Wanted ships (player or NPC) is now legal even if the player does not know they are Wanted"

this is pretty biblical... no more getting blasted out of existence just because I engaged a wanted ships wingman and was eager on the trigger. very nice for less experienced bounty hunters. Plus i just got a chieftain.. so double win :) hopefully with the cockpit hitzone change I won't need the repair limpets so much.

This is COMPLETELY INSANE. You are telling me that because a few folks couldn't handle cleaning their ship before swapping modules that now, as a pirate, I cannot swap ANY of my modules even while in an Anarchy system without paying off my bounty?

This change does sound like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Whilst I appreciate that players would be using Outfitting to modify loadout without penalty, blocking Outfitting for criminals entirely is excessive. We should have some option to store hot modules, buy and fit new modules to a hot ship, making them hot, and to transfer hot modules from storage to ship.

so basically now you must move the Fuel Scoop to Core instead of Optional. Flying without a Fuel Scoop it's like playing on hardcore lvl, in any combat situation.

Well, now slightly salty. No thanks to everyone who exploited the base bombing with dumbfires, FD's fix now makes my mine bomber largely useless that i'd been using for about a year to do base missions.

Yeah, ill partially blame FD for such fixes, was never happy with how they changed skimmers to be made of impossiblium when ships rammed them to stop a previous exploit, but i reserve plenty of salt for the exploiters as well.

What was that? Exploiters exploiting don't affect anyone else?

Yeah, sorry, you can shove that up your nether regions.

To be fair blasting skimmers away with bombs was fun but highly OP. It will need base gameplay rethink to enable such fun again.

Hello Commander Schlack!

Influence loss for a faction due to their ships being murdered occurs in the system where the ship was murdered.

Influence gain for a faction due to bounty claims being handed in to their security contacts occurs in the system where the bounty claim was handed in.

Thanks Sandro.

I may not have articulated my question properly. If an NPC from faction X spawns in system Y where Faction X is not present, where does the murder effect hit? It cant hit in system Y because the faction isnt present. I am particularly concerned with multi system factions where the influence hit could go anywhere!

Will someone from FD please comment on the BROKEN COMMS! Are we getting a fix for this? If so when? This only broke in patch 3.02 and is truly GAME BREAKING!

No outfitting on hot ships at all anywhere???

Has anyone involved with this change done piracy missions or really any combat missions which will get you a bounty? What happened to being able to be an outlaw with bounties on your ship across space? This totally ruins my playstyle, I like having a hot combat ship for being bad in but now it will be locked into one loadout forever unless I go the boring route and pay it off.
