Is there an ETA on the “flight assist is turned on every single instance change” infuriating bug being resolved? No offence but if I turn assist off in a ship, then it’d be nice if it could remember this for more than a few minutes at a time. The game can track wing beacon being on through countless instance changes, so I do not understand how another toggle can be this problematic?

Sorry. But this has been going on for multiple versions now (FA randomly enabling) so would be good to know when this is expected to be fixed. And don’t tell me to log a bug report. There have been several already.
 
Many 'criminals' were boasting on these forums that the new C&P has no consequences for them.. that they don't have to pay off bounties and have billions of Cr to do so anyway. FDev can't provide consequences for crime AND allow you to commit crime without consequence simultaneously.

Perhaps this recent change is a bit too harsh but some consequences have to actually stick or there is no point..

Throwing out the entire playstyle of "outlaw" in a space sandbox game is crazy.
 
Xbox Client Updates Always Late!

FD/ED Community,

Who is responsible for getting the Client Updates pushed on Xbox? Still No Update - Xbox always seems to be last. The Client Update should be available for download as soon as the FD/ED Servers go down...

Can we at least get an ETA for Xbox Client and ED Servers? Please? Not keen on wasting play time polling the Xbox Update site...

I agree that blocking outfitting anywhere with a wanted ship is not only overly harsh, it also makes no sense at all. Why would a starport where the ship in question is not wanted int the first place make that decision?

In the wanted jurisdictions, I totally agree, but not anywhere! Please clarify.

Yeah right now say i pirate and get wanted then wanna go do some smuggling wich is another crime i need to pay off all my bountys just refit my ship ? I liked the new C&P system this thing thou makes the whole CP system pointless .....
 
Do we know if all ground-based missions are affected, or just skimmer assassination missions? I quite enjoy taking out defenses around private data ports using dumbfires, as I find that to be fun gameplay (I've never used any 'exploits' in the game). If this option has been removed, I shall be.... disappointed..
Me too, but you know FD their motto is "play your way" so i have every confidence in them :rolleyes:
 
Having to scan a ship that's blasting away at security ships to figure out whether it's wanted or not seems pretty dumb to me.

I agree here. It solves considerable corner case which proper in-game logic. I also liked Sandro explanation about you not being able to report crimes against you when wanted (not sure that applies to players as changelog says about NPCs...I guess we will see).
 
Why being salty?

My patience for Frontier’s extreme changes is wearing thin. They have once again just turned stuff off. This will break a lot of mechanics and the engagement around the C&P changes is just awful. How is simply removing the ability to change modules REMOTELY useful?

Developer loves their game; they just don’t seem to care if we can’t actually interact with it overly well. I just want to play a game that isn’t going through highly reactive and militant changes that is repeatedly breaking core mechanics.

I’m sorry but it’s not really good enough.
 
I see the section pertaining to USS's.

But nothing was actually mentioned about them as only Guardian sites were mentioned.

Was anything done to address finding High Grade Signal sources?

I know people are always complaining regarding this, I will say that I have still seen no change regarding HGE anywhere yet.
Over the past 2 weeks alone, thanks to the new material traders, I have gone hunting HGE for all the most valuable items and have had nothing but the same type of success that I have always had and have easily found loads of HGE and filled my ship to capacity on all of the hardest to find materials so that I can easily trade for other materials.

My point of course being that it still seems to work fine. Possibly you are either having lots of bad luck or perhaps you are not 100% aware of how to find HGE's ?

In my searching I have averaged at least 1 HGE every 5 minutes, many times even more.
Roughly an hour spent filling up to capacity on pharmaceutical isolators, another hour for all 3 proto types, another hour for improvised components...on and on to do the entire list of tier 5 materials...no problems at all.

Next time you are looking for something, feel free to ask me for help and I will either tell you where you can find what you want or maybe even go with you and help you collect, showing you that stuff is still easily found.

Ok the second Ram Tah mission,which got ‘lost’ in the contracts tab ,is still missing.

How can I get refunded as I had already 10 million thanks to scanning constructs :(
 
Sandro we need answers on the outfitting lockout. You and your team have essentially shut down the play style of ALL professional criminals. I had every intention of living with wanted tags and a huge bounty on my head, this makes it all but impossible.

You want a changelog that lists things that weren't fixed?

No I want the developer to put changes in the change log. Not on page 7 of a thread, after the fact! Update the original post so people sodding well know. Make sure it’s clear. People are asking about changes that aren’t clear. And some changes are raising questions about what they actually mean.

Why the heck are people so against clear communication?!

I don't think it's worth getting so upset about, or worthy of the snark.

The staff are literally in this thread answering people's questions.

And the bit folk are asking about literally has a bunch of paragraphs dedicated to it in the OP.

The same reason as they are against people who demand a working, enjoyable product?
 
Outfitting of ‘Hot’ Ships

Please allow outfitting of hot ships and transferring their modules.

Instead of cleaning them, just make any ship you put hot modules into take on the highest bounty of all equipped modules.
