Attacking Wanted ships (player or NPC) is now legal even if the player does not know they are Wanted

If this means what I think it means...
...no more spurious bounties for attacking known wanted ships before the scan finishes?!
This should also fix the bug where you get a bounty for accidentally clipping a wanted NPC's fighter during deployment... fingers crossed!

I did an assassinate pirate lord mission. After I killed him, the mission disappeared from my transactions and I couldn't turn it in.

Possibly but then why the need to prepare a new ganking ship?
Have you ever heard about "notoriety" and how it works ? The new ganking ship is made regarding that (my ganking FAS has a low rebuy).

How is it affected? Is paying off a bounty when you need outfitting really so harsh that people will no longer engage in pvp? Seems unlikely..
2.4 : mostly flying at CG's and Hot spots looking for some cool fights (crimes off) and ganking as well.
3.0 : flying at CG's only to gank (with crimes ON) to nullify penalties and punishments. If there was reward opportunities or simply be able to see if your target has crimes ON/OFF, i would 100% risk my PvP ship. But as it is, i will only go to CG/hot in order to gank.

There are 2 REAL objections to the change IMHO:

1) People want to play as a criminal and be able to keep the wanted tag. Fair enough, I hope FDev find a suitable way to do this.
2) People want to be able to permanently avoid the costs of their crimes as they could before.

I am just adapting to this new system. I am all for consequences regarding crimes but only if/when you get caught and if it comes with reward opportunities.

It appears mining missions continue to be absent from this game... Can anyone prove me wrong? I want to be wrong [yesnod]

Can confirm that I've yet to see any Mining missions spawn or load. Can anyone else verify? I've been thru 10 systems so far and board flipped for an hour.

Honestly though, unless you play a criminal, you really should be careful about tossing out over-restrictive suggestions.

There are a lot of nuances to playing a criminal (especially now, with the new C&P) that only criminals will know about. And none of us are complaining about being criminals!

" you really should be careful"

really or what exactly? I can suggest whatever I like - unless there's a large pool of complaints about something nothing gets done. So my valid suggestion will be ignored.

These changes to the new C&P system are all good and well, but I really hope Combat logging is also being dealt with on such a level. You cant go around fixing 1 side of the coin and not the other.

Hmm, I don't think Clogging and no consequences griefing are 2 sides of a coin. One is abusing in-game mechanics to "farm salt," and the other exploits out-of-game circumstances that are basically impossible to control for.

Hello everyone,

Outfitting of ‘Hot’ Ships

We’re changing the crime system when it comes to ‘hot’ ships.

The reason for this is that the system of cleaning ‘hot’ modules in storage was creating an unfair punishment, where commanders were removing modules from ‘hot’ ships that only had small bounties on them and then discovered that the cost for cleaning ‘hot’ modules was dramatically more expensive!

From 3.0.3 you will no longer be able to access outfitting at any port whilst in a ‘hot’ ship, thus you will not be able to make any load-out changes. You’re required to first clean the ship by paying off fines and bounties issued against it. Outfitting services will then be restored.

It’s worth noting that we will automatically clean ‘hot’ modules in storage when we deploy this update.

We feel this change simplifies the rules even more and prevents players from paying unnecessary amounts of credits.

Excuse me? This is supposed to be more fair? So because my ship has one tiny bounty in a random system in the middle of nowhere I can't outfit anywhere? I have to say, this is a uniquely awful change.

I thank everyone at FD for 3.0.3, but, some fixes aren't working or are just flat-out missing:

Still can't pay power-play bounties at IF.
No mining missions available anywhere.
No skimmer missions available anywhere.

So......when is 3.0.4 out?

Yeah, it almost feels like Frontier pushed an older outdated version of 3.03 to live, one missing the most current fixes which are in the notes.

The power play bounties I'm not sure, but missions? My guess would be they forgot to turn them back on.

Increased the payouts for bulk passenger Missions <--- Just cheked in SMEATON and... I'ts not increased to be honest.

Also, the passenger lounge are pretty LOW on missions, only a FEW options - Can you guys please consider to increase the number of passenger missions generated? Sighseek and tranport ones are my best way to garther g5 Materials and now i'ts sucha pain to find the good ones, i need to board flipping almost 2 hours to find some good passenger runs.

still no word on unable to pay fines and bounties....but we'll add this feature where you cant change loadouts until you pay your fines and bounties

Any word on the return of faction news in the stations? As in, where an expansion has gone and whatnot?
That is a great loss for BGS players and we desperately need it back...hope it comes back soon :S

I haven't had a chance to try the patch yet. Has the news returned? I've been noticing that the BGS news at stations has been missing, but I thought it might have just been something to do with my neck of the woods. I recall seeing the news go missing for a few days after other major updates, but don't recall the news blackout lasting this long. Is this a bug? Or has the news been disabled on purpose?

If only we were all as elite as you are. How stupid we all are. To be in the middle of a fight with a wing and for one reason or another the other member didn't become hostile yet, but every Fed is shooting him, but hey how could we possibly know he's wanted without that scan...oh and it's a game...

Power Plant issue is still the same? 0% Power Plant and the NPC still acts like their on steroids.
Are we going to get a fix on this soon. I think its a major issue..
