Question.

So I've seen reports that USS during salvage missions are spawning in ridiculously op NPC fleets. I had one occurrence last night, but it was only small ships; from what I could tell two or three eagles and a couple sidewinders. No worries to that, I thought throw on a few weapons and its nothing I can't handle. Would wait a couple minutes with hardpoints deployed just in case every time I dropped on a mission signal source, worked all morning and didnt get attacked once.

Well. That just changed.

On my most recent run, I dropped in, deployed weapons, and opened my cargo hatch within 250m of the items I was supposed to be picking up. As per protocol, I waited a good minute before deploying limpets. Nothing happened. Deploy limpets, first item is picked up and....

Five or six new targets on my scanner. Alright, here we go. Target the first ship to shoot me, selecting highest threat in control mapping. Dangerous Anaconda. Shields already gone. Flip around for a shot, catch a nice split second view of the Conda and its wingmates (still looked like mostly eagles) all getting a nice full broadside shot as I jet past. Hull at fifty. Ive already flipped the bird to the canisters I'm supposed to be retrieving, now I've consigned myself to the void and the rebuy screen as I make a desperate attempt to run.

Ill tell you what, I've had my bonding moment with my Clipper. She might not be the best fighter with the loadout I have, but boy can she run. Managed to escape the Condas mass lock and low wake with 30% hull. I limped back to Somayaji Terminal and I'm wondering: Does anyone have an explanation for why, at a USS allegedly claiming threat 0, I was jumped by a full Anaconda wing?

So I did. Escaped from it directly into a reality where my game is now crashing every time I open the galmap. I'm not the only one, its all over the bug reports. But here I am with no galaxy map....

It is always a trap and so I will always wait and see who and what turns up. Sometimes it is a couple of pipsqueaks; sometimes an armada of death.

So I have been finding out, today.
The whole game is one big trap. From our first Hi-wakes and trying to land: To docks of the capital ships and those strange cabbage like things, that send out dozens of droids to kill you, if you get too close to them.
