16t Anti-corrosion Racks.

Hi Cmdrs,

Should the 16-ton anti-corrosion racks be available at all the Human-Tech Broker stations?

I ask as so far I cannot find a Human Tech Broker with them listed.:S

Cargo rack and plasma charger unlocks are not possible at the moment due to mission reward only commodities that no longer exist being required, so far as I can tell from personal experience and other forum posts. Might want to save yourself the frustration and back burner them until the next patch.

But first you have to find a broker who lists them and that I have so far been unable to do.:eek:

Oooo, I didn't realise that we were yet able to get any bigger than 2t!

I'd certainly be interested to know how to unlock/purchase these, as then I can dump all the smaller ones that I have in module storage (and never actually use). :)

They are out there. I've seen them several times at Brokers but of course didn't write down the system names. Sorry.

Different tech broker's unlocking different items but no ingame way of knowing who unlocks what is terrible and frankly lazy design.

If you set the Galaxy Map filter to 'Service' and then select the Tech Broker - Human, then you will see any that are within ~40 LY of your location. If you have ever done much mission running or trading in a particular area, there is a good chance that you will find one nearby. You can only unlock or purchase the tech broker items at a station with a tech broker: you will see an 'Experimental' category when you go to purchase weapons in outfitting, although the corrosion-resistant cargo racks are found among the regular variety (Meta-Alloy Hull Reinforcements get their own category).

Yes, I do have Palin unlocked at level 2.:D

If iirc it is available to unlock in Brady City in the Shouval system. The commodities however are another story as mentioned earlier.

I can confirm that not all Human Tech Brokers have the cargo racks.

I am at Froude Enterprise in the LHS 3564 system and the human broker has Plasma Charger, Power plant and Gauss Cannon but no cargo racks to unlock.:eek:

Perhaps there is another type of broker?

That one is a Guardian Tech Broker. If you go to the Galmap, filter by services, then you should see below that a 'radio button' (you can select only one) that allows you to highlight tech broker - Guardian; tech broker - Human; Interstellar Factors, black markets and the different types of material traders. By default, the Human Tech Brokers highlight in yellow.

Yes, I have got the radio buttons but as yet they don't show any in my area, I suspect that is because I have to discover them first.

I'll check on INRA then search the stations on that list.

At least they're available at Tani Hub in Ainunnicori at the moment, maybe even discounted as it's a LYR system. But I can't remember where I unlocked them at the moment... :-/

Edit/P.S.: maybe try Willis Dock in the Wolf 124 System, there's a human technology broker, too. But I can't see the cargo racks listed, maybe because I already unlocked them ? Idk...

You have to have either docked at a station in the same system or scanned the nav beacon in a system for any of the facilities covered by the 'Services' filter to appear in the Galaxy Map.
(I would suggest finding a good world to mine Technetium, Tungsten and Molybdenum as well, since you'll be needing a lot of those to unlock things). Good luck!
EDIT: as stated in the post above, Willis Port, Wolf 124, has a Human Tech Broker
