Funny, I had a 0.45 M 1911 Electroless Nickle for a while.
Still have a 0.45, but of Teutonic origin, from my personal call of duty.
Classics never die. And MILSPEC's are forever...

A point 303 rifle was actually very accurate in its day...in the right hands...in the wrong hands it was a behemoth given to cadets to practice being soldiers with...
Hmm yanks and their guns...whats the connection here?
Haha watch it, I've actually fired one of thoseThe cadet ones were converted to .22 though so it's hardly the full experience.
I much preferred the cadet version of the SA80; I'm well aware of how hated it was originally by people whose lives depended on having a functioning weapon (and that should really be front and centre in the process of buying a weapon for the army...) but on the range where jumping in and out of rivers, getting it full of sand and being shot at by people wasn't much of a concern, it was great.
I never got along with the SA80 and it was a big change when it was introduced replacing the older slr rifles and also replacing the older 7.62mm ammunition fer the nato standard 5.56mm...doesnt quite have the same stopping power, not as accurate but a lot more reliable, lighter and nato friendly with enough auto function to make the worst aim in the world have some chance of hitting something.
It was all those cheap plastic spring loaded dust covers...made it look and feel like a toy, and Im from the school of thought that a single bullet is more effective and deadly than a hundred from a spray can.
Its a life skill being able to lie almost motionless fer 7 hours in a freezing cold wet ditch upto yer neck in water, and knowing yer rifle will still fire when ye squeeze the trigger...and secretly hoping ye dont have to cos once ye fire, they know exactly where ye are and yer too cramped to move properly.
Ye ever use the firing ranges in Bisley? They used to drop us off about 2 miles from the butts and force march us as punishment fer making rude gestures to all the civvies and mooning at them...
Ah the good old days ^
