question for anyone helpful...

Not that I know of.

How is it outfitted? Do you have a lot of heavy modules or armor? Explora-condas are usually fitted with a fair number of grade-D modules (which are lightweight), to get a longer jump range. You can also try engineering some modules for less mass.

Have you added a "special" to your FSD? There's one called "Mass Manager" or something like that, which is quite helpful for large FSDs.

she is fit to jump... D everything, except A FSD (eng for range, mass manage), all optionals, utilities, and hardpoints are empty...

You should easily be able to get over 60, so I can only think there's still some excess weight somewhere. Are you carrying a full sized shield/powerplant/distributer/thrusters etc, or the minimum class you can get away with? Maybe some armour you forgot about?

im downgrading the core as we speak...

As far as I know you can gain a bit more jump range in 3.0. Maybe you can add a special effect to your frameshift drive to make it jump further?

FSD is as good as 3.0 can make it... im @ 63.44/63.49/65.29
but, she is stripped!!!
4d powerplant
5d thrusters
1d distributer
64.13/64.16/67.04 if i dont take a 2g scarab...

Drop that powerplant down to 3A or even an over-charged 2A and you'll save a bit more. You can turn off things like AFMUs and your SRV bay when not in use, as both are usually used with thrusters turned off. The A-graded PP means better heat efficiency as well. What's your shield like? You can generally get away with a 3D. You can also run a 16T tank if you're adventurous and only route through KGBFOAM stars. You can run a 20T pretty much anywhere and still save some weight if you prefer.

Have you also looked at engineering modules such as scanners/etc for lighter weight? That'll make up the rest of the range you're missing, I suspect. It's also worth noting that you're only looking at high 60s in a functional build. AFAIK the 70Ly+ builds are made of cardboard. My own (2.4 engineered) conda hits 64Ly with full exploration kit and by-no-means maxed out engineering.

One last thing to note is that if you have engineered a lot of modules, some of those modifications may have actually added weight. Basically, the Anaconda is a ship you really have to nit-pick over to gain the last few Lys from.

Don't forget to lightweight engineer the gigantic sensor module the Anaconda has. Shaves over 50 tons off the 8D.

Legacy G5 or new G5?

'Cos pre-Beyond G5 is turned into new system as just G4 and you have extra step to further boost your range. In case if you skipped this, otherwise it's Cpt. Obvious moment from my side.

I wish people would stop saying this.

The performance of any mod' created in 2.x doesn't CHANGE as a result of the new system.
Call it "G4" or call it a bunch of bananas - it should still have the same performance.

On topic, my "module transport" Annie was still doing 70Ly jumps in 3.0 - using a one-roll G5 FSD made in 2.4

I think he meant if the old G5 module had been converted into the new system and not engineered back up to G5

Of course, why anyone would do such a thing is a mystery!
