What's your home station/system?

Malenchenko City, Coma

Great views. Excellent prospecting. Relatively central Bubble location but still out of the way. Lovely place, though the local Commanders can get a bit rowdy. ;)

Oterma Station in Baal. It has a repair dock for 2 imperial capitol ships outside as well as a planetary base in system that sells what the station is demanding.

having a base would certainly be interesting but I'm hoping fleet carriers will be good for that. would be good if you could rent a pad in a station though, customise it's appearance, no need to request docking etc.

Yarrite system at the moment. Lots of good missions and I like where it is in the bubble, just a short hope to most engineers and to Shinrarta. Station is nice and close to the star.

If I show you mine...

just curious as to where people are basing themselves out of and why. I've been heinkel city in almad for a while now. good variety of missions for me which I like and I can get most modules I need in the immediate area with I sola nearby as a last resort and an interstellar factor in the closest system to me for clearing bounties and fines

I'm tripple Elite lately and had more CR than I could ever spend, so I decided to put the capital into bases dotted around the bubble, rather than it just sit there, why is it the Bank of Zaonce don't do interest btw?

So I have a main base a jump from Jacksons Lighthouse. This brings benefits 4 x beyond imagination to my main fleet docked there.

There are a further three ancillary bases, two of which have a White Dwarf as the main star, once again supercharging the fleets there with super jump ranges. The base in Empire space has no WD, but there are very few in the whole of Empire space.

My standard fleet in these bases is a fast ship, an Asp, Python and one of the big four.

I also have 2 far flung bases one super 'North' and another in the polar direction both next to neutron stars, to facilitate one jump access to the centre of the bubble.

I can't stress enough the benefits of looking up systems with N* and WD's in the bubble, there are more than you think. Currently from my home base, my super light DBX can get to Maia in four jumps, via a second N* I found on the way.

I'm starting a co-operative player group, in the light of squadrons appearing in game, based on these principals and others, please pm me if you have voice comms in game and would like to know more.

All the very best CMDR'S.

Strangepork.

Ohm City, LHS 20...

Hightech system with 15% LYR discount and somewhat "in the middle" so nearly everything is more or less nearby
The newest addition is a material trader (data) and traders for raw and manufactured materials are just in the neighbourhood one jump away.

Hi there neighbour! I live right next door in Akkadia, for the same reasons. Smack down the middle of everything, engineers as well as factions. With Li Yong-Rui discount shipyards and shopping right at my doorstep.

HIP 5623 / Stross Installation

Aisling Duval Controlled system right next door to Cubeo. Easy access to my PowerPlay HQ and nearly a dozen very nearby systems that all share common factions and offer a great variety of quality missions. :)

Since this is your home system. I request permission to do a bit of prospecting, commander.

I wander around, constant jumping to system from system. I would love to have a place to call "Home", but with CGs and events happening I usually just head out to where ever.
Did try calling Rhea my home system, but its just far off as I usually head to Li Young-Rui system for them discounts. Thinking of heading to Sol and checking that out, but I don't know yet.

Though, if anyone one of y'all find a system with a couple of orange planets (similar to Mars or just entirely orange) that are we are capable of landing on and it has a large station at the system, hit me up. I'll move there. [haha]

Una - Hoard Orbital. High Tech system, Ophiuchi 20 right next door with Pristine, Metallic rings and Industrial based. One other hop over is a Agricultural system so the trade hops are good.

Mainly LFT 37. Im independent and the faction there is as well. Im not aligned with any superpower. And think power play is just stupid (this is my opinion). They have awesome stocked shipyards and usually an a rated mod that im looking for is just 1 or two jumps away. Its a good base system.

Banks Port in Reshas. Purely because that was the station I started off from. It's more of my Home System rather than a base as such, as I really just flit around the universe. I originally assumed I started off in Reshas as it was chosen at random, but later found out all cmdrs who chose the Explorer Cobra started there. Though I'm an explorer at heart so Reshas suits me :)

Abraham Lincoln in Sol.
If the Thargoids come to close then I have a couple alternatives though.

I was using that one for a while.. I figured a system always in Boom would have good mission payouts.

What I found however, was that the mission payouts at Lincoln were way lower then anywhere else even when I was fully allied. Have you noticed the same?

For example, at my current station (Leonard Nemoy - LHS 3006) I can usually find 120-180T Cargo Missions paying between 2M-9M for a single hop delivery depending on commodity. The same missions at Lincoln were paying 800k-1.2M and I am fully allied.

I really liked the idea of basing myself out of Sol but eventually left because the missions were just terrible.
