Which ship to buy if you already have the 3 big Cs?

Hi guys!

As the title says, I already own a Conda, Cutter and Corvette, all fully engineered. I also have an ASP for the rare occasions when I need to land on an outpost.
I really enjoy ED right now. Doing some assassination missions here and there, fly some passenger missions and so on.

I really want to fly a new ship, but dont have any motivation to buy one. I mean, nothing comes close to my Corvette when it comes to combat. For exploration / passenger missions I have my Conda. And for trading / transport missions I have my Cutter. So, is there any reason to buy and engineer any of the other smaller ships (except the fun factor)? Is there any ship which can do anything better than one of the 3 big Cs?

The Chief sir! Engineer the hell out of it, and arm it with 6x Frags, all double shot, all Screening shell.

Once done, go have some fun!

After working my way up to the big ships (I have access to all of them), I came to the realization that I have more fun in small and medium sized ones. This by the way, is why I encourage any new players not to race as fast as possible to the big three and miss out on some gems along the way.

T10 and Chieftain are interesting, but in which "role" do they exceed?

I haven't tried this myself yet, but I'm told the T10 is so effective taking out thargoids as to be boring. The chieftain is just an awesome midsize combat ship

Assassin Courier!

Fast enough to get out of Dodge, agile enough to sit in a Corvette/Cutter/Anaconda blind spot and do some real damage.

Landing pad small, so will land anywhere.

You will probably need one gimballed mount (minimum), or seeker/torpedo type mount on one nacelle - weapon convergence isnt great.

The Python is a terrific multi purpose ship. It can handle "most" PVE encounters. Great for passengers and cargo. Lands on medium outposts AND looks good doing it. Just my 2cents ;)

The chieftan is an interesting combat ship. It has arguably better pitch rate than the FAS. The canopy is reminscent of an old "Star Wars" "Y-wing" fighter. The four engine structure is the most similar to the "Space: 1999" "Eagle" and other sci-fi genres that have "four-pylon" ships. It has a little drift so could be fun for pilots who like that.
The T-10 is pretty much the biggest missile boat these days. The hardpoints placement isn't the best for lasers, while it seems to have a better heat resistance than most ships. It has decent shield strength and hull factor, but it has the most sluggish supercruise navigation. Like the T-9, the T-10 is somewhat reminiscent of the old "Battlestar Galactica" sci-fi ship type and style, lumbering about with lousy maneuverability having to take a few hits with inherent defensive durability, and sometimes depending on fighters & surrounding gun emplacements.

How is the Chieftain compared to the FDL or Python? Which one would you use for Bounty Hunting or Assassination missions?
