anaconda, cutter or corvette?

What do you want to do"

Trade-Cutter
Fight-Corvette
Multi-role- Anaconda (has the highest jump range of the large ships..so exploration is a great choice)

The Anaconda was my target ship since starting the game. Took me two years to finally get one and found that I didn't like it because of the super cruise handling. So I set my sites on the Cutter because the Corvette was said to be a combat ship and I'm not that much into combat. Finally got the Cutter and hated it for the same reason as the Anaconda. At this point I was thinking that I just didn't like big ships. I sold the Cutter and ranked up to try the Corvette. I have to say that the Corvette is my favorite ship in the game. It does have the crappy jump range of a combat ship, but I think it is really more of a multi-purpose. It is like the big brother of the Python. So, when it comes to big ships, your preferred flying style will make a difference. Also, I still have my Anaconda, because after two years of working for it, I can't bring myself to sell it, even though it mostly just collects dust in the hangar.

owned all 3.

Annie, god I hate that ship.
Corvette, ok, but where are my shields?
Cutter, I fell in lust, Eng'd to g5 on everything, armed to the teeth, shields to protect planets.

I do like my python though.....

I usually explore in my Anaconda, Fight in my Federal Corvette, and trade in my Imperial Cutter. The Python is my outpost mission runner, otherwise the Federal Corvette. I love the two huge hardpoints. That being said, I'll take my Imperial Cutter (or my Squadron Carrier, haven't quite made up my mind yet) on DW II, but that's only because it's the most beautiful ship in the game :)

I’d start with the Anaconda. It’s the most universally useful of the three. The Vette’s jump range limits its usefulness outside of RESs, CZs, and mining, and the Cutter’s flight model is...an acquired taste.

For pew pew, id say corvette, cutter just turns too slow to keep guns on target, it is however pretty much invincible in pve. Nothing wrong with the conda other than mobility.

I love flying and fighting in my Corvette. I can practically hear Valkyries singing. I can't stand combat in the other 2.

My Anaconda is a fine cargo / passenger (back when that was a thing) / exploration vessel. Fights ok.

Now that the Type 9 has received a cargo buff, the Cutter isn't the biggest trader out there, so all it has going for it are a) looks, if you're into that Imperial style, b) straight-line speed, and c) tanking ability.

I'm planning to compensate for the turn issues of the Cutter via Dirty Drives Drive Distribution Mods and Turrets with a PA in the Class 4 slot. Working a Conda now for Exploration/Exploration Passenger runs to make the money for the Cutter build.

been happily playing in my chieftain lately and racked up plenty of credits to go for one of the big three but which one? I have the Fed and empire ranks so all three is an option. which is the most fun?

Exploring/Passenger missions: Conda

Combat: Corvette

Ability to run away from most ships in the game: Cutter

I own the Cutter, it drifts like a but I love its speed.

Want the most jump range in the game? Conda.

Want something that doesn't have an atrocious turn rate? Vette

Want something that can have 11k mj shields but takes two centuries to pitch twenty degrees? cutter.

I have all three/four fully engineered and like all three/four, BUT my order of buying would be:
1) Anaconda - Most versatile
2) Cutter - most un-catchable - most un-stoppable - most un-turnable - quite versatile
3) Type-10 - Most affordable - quite versatile
4) Corvette - Most parkable

All 3 ?

Conda - For doing pretty much anything
Cutter - For basking only, do not actually fly it (I lie; it's a money printing machine)
Corvette - For blowing stuff up
