A question to the techies out there

I find the evolution of new technology astounding but also mind boggling!!

Just watched NVIDIA's announcement of the world's largest GPU which I think is to support AI and got a bit bombarded with figures which sound incredible even to a non techie like me. I did get the figure of being able to move the equivalent of 14000 movies in one second which is WOW!!

My question is, what could this mean to Elite Dangerous and could we see something like this incorporated into my/our favourite game before the equivalent of Skynet takes over?

Lol, I didn't mean us individuals owning it but whether or not the use of such a thing could change the way the galaxy is seen by us by say Frontier using it, for example could it increase the number of players in one instance?

I'm not a tech person either. My area of computer interest is already 40yrs out of date. I haven't kept up. I'm guessing that the GPU stack is just an affordable supercomputer. Frontier might find a use for it. A cloud based gaming experience, essentially turning your PC into a dumb terminal but there's still the issue of bandwidth. Two Petaflops instructions per second down the phone line.
