I was flying around the whole of the core world's yesterday. Lots of engineering work on weapons. (oh the irony)

First stop was Farseer. Wanted a cheap shield booster mod to tide me over.

While there, a Patreus player, and thus enemy given I'm Mahon, started firing. What a muppet! We were in Farseer's no fire zone. His hull dropped in seconds. Quite thrilling.

Later, I was at Todd's base, to get my first frag' cannon mods. While there, I noticed another Patreus CMDR. So I landed, and waited on the pad. My intention was to follow him when he took off. Unfortunately, by the time he got in the air, a number of Imperial pilots were in the vicinity. It was no longer worth the risk, so I let him go.

Here's the thing. I'm actively looking for PvP now. I'm actively stalking agents of rival powers, and it is absolutely bloody fun!

What have I become?

I'm in a similar situation of conflicting feelings towards PvP. At first I was like, "how dare you interdict me without permission!!1!"/butthurt

After a few weeks of prepping my fleet for the encounters (especially in the Jameson system) it's not so bad. Thing is your ship has to been engineered to deal with these guys or you're toast.

If I was in the mindset to go looking for it, I would fly around in Bunda. You won't find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy any where else (Mos Eisley notwithstanding)

Welcome to the world of emergent content delivery!

Next step is to pull over a noob in a T6, demand all their cargo and then send them to rebuy when they refuse.

I should point out guys, I'm playing on Xbox. Currently at a rather low point in my life and the PC has caused me a few problems. Nothing serious but I could do without the stress.

Still, I do have a HOTAS, and the T.Flight is good.

I actually made a successful kill earlier this afternoon. I arrived at my Powerplay HQ, Gateway, to find a CMDR in an Eagle Mk II. He was aligned with Felicia Winters, and I had freshly engineered fragmentation cannons on my Viper that needed testing.

So I stalked him out of the station, and as soon as we left the no-fire zone...

A true gang, but he was tagged as an enemy. He even came back! I hailed him, and told him to leave the system now, as he's an enemy of the state.

I also got hailed by a pilot in an Imperial Eagle. I scanned thanks to my 88° sensors, and saw his name. He's a well known PvP'er in the Xbox community, so after getting his message, I sent back "Nah." and high waked out of there! PvP is just as much evasion as pew. I haven't died to a player in months.

I knew you'd get there at last! Now just for you to realise the DBS is your soul ship.

Mate if you want any practice/sparring/advice, you always know where I am.

I haven't ruled it out... I now have all the key engineering done.

Yea, contrary to the way non PvPers would have you think, the community is super helpful and (even the guys you wouldn't think it of, are) willing to train/spar/give advice etc.
