Well I am a fanboi and even I am finding it hard not to see with every update to solve something FD create a whole new slew of addition, parallel issues.
But Kudos to OA, as I said in another post a long time ago, he does sound a little more glum in his videos.
If "I" had to make a video, (put together content, screenshots, collect data of commander names, keep track of forums, reddit etc, write a script, record a voice AND edit a video) the fatigue would break me after a few weeks.
OA has been doing this for what years??? And this is effectively your full time job, or what?
I took a bit of a mini time out because of the 3.0 beta and well Subnautica finally launched, and heck I got a switch and I have been grinding through some of the cheap and cheerful trash on the eStore.
And currently I'm playing the metagame of when is it best to update the game, will I actually get to play tonight.....
And I ignored the punishment for any crime system since 3.0 has gone live, and concentrated on trading and engineering, as those have been my main two points of interest for a while.
And its okay. The game has barely changed, except I accidentily degraded my Grade5 long distance FSD for a grade1 faster fsd boot.
Dejected with the game, I flew away from Deciat, but of course I had pinned the longdistance jump and on the next playsession, I upgrade onto grade 1 to grade5, beat my old Jumprange, but didnt have enough mats to finish the build outright all within 20 minutes, despite being lightyears away. So the new engineers, gets a thumbs up.
The material traders, I |get| the hiding them away, but we had discussion of same feature for blackmarkets, they only appear once your discover them. FDs solution was that all black markets became ever present in the galaxy map.
So one wonders why the descrepency for the traders, (we must first find them) and then for the love of god the 40ly limit, why?
crime and punishment,
have a scale of what starport services are banned per notoriority and fines owned - like had we not come to that conclusion in the beta.
New trade information - myself and other commanders where giving UX tips galore during the beta as to how to improve the "good" functions, but in a better more useful way. but again, all this good beta feedback was pinned for more pressing features, namely material storage for engineers.
Which really is a solved thing now.
We got more stored module space, no is patting FD on the back for that.
