Kingdom Come Deliverance

On the levelling part, you're better off fighting road bandits and such. I don't think (emphasis on think) that practicing with Bernard using dummy weapons increases the level much.

Train with Bernard to learn moves and get better at it, as well as junlocking the more advanced moves. For levelling, simply go around and live Henry's life. :) Practice on those bandits that attack youy on the road, as usually it's just one or two.

I tried that and usually the guy I chose to farm my defensive skillz turned tail the moment I slew his collegue. :D

Regarding a certain peasant stuck in the stocks...
I had a quick look last night to see whether the recent patch fixed this stuck NPC. I was able to talk to him and was basically told to do what I want with the seal and not to get caught like him.

Was this how the quest was supposed to go for those that didn't have it bug out on them or is this the WH workaround for a broken quest?

I had the same thing he just seemed to remain in the stocks and pass pleasantries like he was sitting outside the pub. Couldn't advance the quest line with him.

I didn't pay too much attention last night but did speak with him and it looks like several quests got completed, my assumption is I now just have a quest item that I can now sell.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that he was supposed to be moved into a jail cell and that you could break them out. If true this sounds like nothing more than a workaround for a broken quest rather than a reset to a previous checkpoint. I don't have a save that goes far enough back to see if this would play out the same way from scratch.

What do you mean nothing happens? You level by doing. So e.g. if you hit with sword, your progress goes up a bit.

Check whether you have talked to Bernard about the combos and ripostes. These complete your skillset for combat. Available after Neuhof main quest, iirc.

You have to be level 5 to start the combos as far as I understand.

I use my bow to shot them in the head, sword not so much :D

One or two?? heck try 3 or 5, they are swarming on the roads.

Almost 40 hours in, I'm still admiring the visuals. Especially terrain and forests are just breathtaking. And so authentic. Being from Eastern Europe I've found myself thinking on many occasions that I've seen very similar geography and locations IRL. It's uncanny.

It's quite possible they took real parts of the countryside and modeled them into the game, so who knows. :)

Some beautiful photos, btw. I love the 8 and 9 particularly.

It's pieced together from two strips of real country - the places are real, but not necessarily translate to accurate maps. The river is real, too - essentially they took real places as blueprint and arranged them for gameplay anew. The most exotic place is Pribislavitz - that is nowhere near the other settlements in reality. The rest, though is in the same region.

Do you use mods for archery so you have any kind of aiming reticle or just wing it?

playing vanilla, buuuut I'm now pretty good with a bow, i won my first contest yesterday WOOOHHOOOOO!! and 30 gold :D

Problem im not strong enough to get a better bow so need to workout a bit more. I finally got the combo from Bernard so Things are getting better. I really like this game, even with the bugs because there are bugs, plenty of bugs.

I hate to nerf your earnings but it's only silver money. :D

Think I need to get this game. It's looking good.

It is, and as the bugs get ironed out it is also becoming more and more fun to play, at this stage it's really fun and immersive to play, even with bugs.

The combat system is very hard, however I like it as you really need to practice and can't just spam the button.

Ahh ok, well still its a good earning. :D

Yes, just teasing.

I hear lots of great thing about this game so far, how is the gameplay after you done the main quest, can you still roam around doing things or is there NG+?

Just had an infamous fight with Runt...second time around :) First time I went very early, underleveled and with barely any decent gear. Had to go to earlier save, because it was virtually impossible.
This time I've returned after some leveling and few pieces of decent armor. Knocked him out with the very first swing of a mace to the face.
Just a tip for anybody - loot the most expensive stuff from soldiers on the battlefield in that mission, anything you can carry away. There's tons of expensive armor just going to waste.

You can do your thing before you opt for the epilogue, yes, but there is no NG+. Imo, it would break the game - the perks you aquire are somewhat OP.

Mostly doing bandit hunting and side quests, not even 1/3 into the main quest. I like hunting game and selling the meat to the butchers, I also like killing bandits especially with a long shot to the head with the bow.

I'm at level 10 with the sword, getting better as I spend a lot of time with Bernard training, so yes, there are a lot you can do even before you start on the main quest.

Some questions:

How do you get the book from the monastery? I need it for the special potion.
Did I see Roach in one of the horse farms?????? I wanted to buy her but didn't had enough money.
How do you take a 3rd person picture of your character?
How do yo get rid of that pesky husband when you try to get MyLady into bed :p

you need to break into the monastry for the book. The door near the site overseers office is a "hard" door but if you have been levelling your lockpick skills it shouldnt present a problem. Id do it in very early hours of morning though. youll need a key that opens the locker for the book - its too hard to describe where to find it but just loot all the lockers you can find. The book is in a locker in a sort of large library.

All of the horses are named for other games/shows horses as far as i can tell. Roach is a pretty good horse and all!

no idea on the 3rd person thing.

I had no difficulty getting ma lady into the sack without hubby seeing. Cant recall doing anything special though
