Saw that the latest CG offers a decal as a reward.
Thought I'd give it a look.

Spent the last 2 hours flying around 6 different CZs in Ross 310, tried swapping modes and tried restarting the game.

EVERY CZ I visited spawns Ross 310 Progressive Party ships and Ross 310 Focus ships.
NONE of them are spawning Ross 310 Natural Services and Ross 310 Cartel ships, as required for the CG.

This is utter cobblers.

I don't know whether this is intentional, and it's supposed to be an effort to locate the correct factions, or whether it's just a screw-up, but it's just halfassed garbage.

Stuff like this ruins people's desire to play the game. [sad]

I completely understand how you're feeling. Spent all evening trying to find a CZ with the correct factions. Finally resorted to Open play (normally only Solo - don't judge me) and found one.

Thanks to other CMDRs kill stealing took me ages to register a kill only to then be blown away in about 3 seconds by another player.

Was annoyed but that's Open I suppose.

Paid my insurance only to have the game crash so badly had to shut down the PC. Never had that before.

I'm normally a bit sniffy about ranty posts but for the first time since backing this game I'm really angry at it.

Sooner or later a game will come out that directly competes with this one and all this nonsense will have to be fixed. Until then it's pretty easy to just ignore negative feedback and continue pushing micro-transactions.

What I wish is that another developer out there could see that there is a high demand for a space game like elite, just missing all the awful aspects of it. They'd crush the market.

Anyway it doesn't matter. This won't change and nothing can be done to make it better other than to stop buying skins, other products, playing in general etc. That might sink in over time but I don't think enough people will do it all at once.

In the stream they said it's because some other war just ended today and not every CZ is for the new war. I guess it should be sorted by tomorrow.

I don't believe this.

Found a CZ (in Open) with the correct factions.
Spent an hour shooting up Ross 310 Cartel ships - like everybody else in the instance - and earned Cr2.4m in bonds.

Back to Morey Port, hand in the CBs and... transaction server error.

Logged back in, the bonds are gone from my inventory and I've been sat here for 15 minutes, waiting to see if my contribution to the CG has registered but it's still showing zero.

I have no words. [sad]

Took me a couple tries to find the right CZ. Once I dropped in there were 9 CMDRs total in the instance. NO reds at all. When the reds would drop in they were gone in seconds. This is the only time I have EVER set my Elite NPC crew to "engage at will." And she did fine. After a few minutes one of the wings of 4 left for a different private group and one of the other CMDRs left so we ended up with 4 in a wing in that instance. It was great. 4Mcr in an hour or so. Went back to the station, came back out in a different wing of four, did 3.9Mcr in another hour.

We had a dude, Expert ranked, in a FAS. It was one of his first times in a CZ and it was his first time ever in a wing. Which means he was probably pretty surprised when I shot him in the face with my healing beam.

Well, that's 5 hours I won't get back.

Five hours of touring 7 CZs, swapping modes, restarting the game and touring the same 7 CGs over and over again - always finding Ross 310 Progressives and Ross 310 Focus ships.

Found ONE CZ that included the Cartel ships, made Cr2.4m in bonds and the poxy game managed to "lose" them after a server error.

We all know ED doesn't always guarantee a return on the time and effort a player invests but that was the crappiest experience I've ever had playing the game.

Utter garbage!

Yep, not being able to see which factions are in a CZ without dropping in has been something that's needed fixing forever. While they're at it they should stop obscuring as many USS as possible. What's the gain in not knowing if a Degraded SS is cargo or materials until you drop in?

FYI - no matter what you did you will never get any hours back .. that's the way time works!

Seriously, submit a bug report to Support. At least you can probably get the decal you earned and maybe some credits too.
