Multi cannon experimentals

Does it make the most sense for damage output to use 1 corrosive and 1 incendiary over 2 corrosive? Do corrosive stack?

Corrosive does not stack. Incendiary is good if you PvE and want high DPS shield busting and don't care about ammo.

I tend to run auto loader on any MCs without another effect. Be mindful that enissive can be highly useful.

Also, the effect doesn't scale with weapon size so it's best applied to smalls. I hear a mix of 1 corrosive plus a mix of infernos and autoloaders works well.

This would be a PvE build for a Viper 4 Class 2 slots.

I don't really get the point of emissive. Is it just to negate silent running?

I run Auto Loader as well, I really like it.

I know that other effects have a higher on paper effect on DPS, but being able to fire without having to constantly reload is a boost you won't see on stats.

I love the Auto Loader experimental, I use it on both of my Corvette's class 4 Multi's.

Emissive is handy for keeping target lock on cool running ships - you'll lose lock if they dump a heat sink for instance. It's pretty useful if you're running a big ship with turrets, maybe not so much in a small ship like a Viper. 1 corrosive and then maybe an autoloader experimental might be nice?

For PVE i use at least 1 corrosive (in the smallest hardpoint i have), incendiary in the others... Hi Cap does pretty nice for a PVE build, and whenever you want to RTB to reload your ammo u'll be ready for a little sesion break

Tbf there isn't much else that provides higher paper DPS; auto loader has a lot going for it. Especially given hardpoints run down on ammo at different rates across classes, there is nothing worse than having an opportune moment to hammer the crap out of a powerplant and half your better hardpoints stop to reload.

For PvP go with autoloader as there is rarely any benefit to using thermal against shields. For pve incendiary works beautifully. As others have said, corrosive does not stack. If you're going to be pvping consider one emissive for the silent builds.

Amen to that.

So I tried a set of C2 Overcharged MC's with 1 corrosive and 1 incendiary. I popped an ASPX in like 10 seconds. Way faster than 2 Legacy Grade 5 effecient MC's. I even took down my first Anaconda 1 v 1. She is running a little warm but it is manageable without heat sinks. Thanks to all.
