Is there any good stations that hand out non-wing missions that pay grade 5 mission only mats?

I've looked at a few extraction boom state systems, hip 11469 being one of them and they're only giving out planet scan missions, which seem to give me a bounty, even though it's the faction itself stating to check on their equipment because it seems to be malfunctioning, sigh..

EDIT: I'm specifically looking for boom-time delivery missions.

In my experience so far... the answer is No.

The Grade 5 Materials seem to only be awarded for Wing Missions.. which frankly.. sucks.

I have been stocking up on MEF by doing Wing Cargo Missions solo in my Type 9.. but man.. it's boring. Having to do 8-10 trips for 5 Firmware is just awful. I did a few just to finish off the Overcharged Multi Cannons on my Conda, and it certainly wasn't much fun.

Wing Missions were one of the things I was most looking forward to in 3.0.. but so far they have been a huge disappointment. They have done little more then add more monotony and ultimately destroy the selection of Solo Missions. Frankly, I think they're pushing Wing missions way too hard.. they need some Solo Missions with these rewards.

Even if it was only 2 mats instead of 5.. cool.. just add some to Solo missions.

If you're looking for Exquisite Focus Crystals, I have found those.. though not directly. You can take Elite Assassination Missions (Solo) and the target sometimes drops them. Usually only 1 drop, 2 if you're lucky.. but it's something.

Skimmer missions did. But they removed that.

I think some normal assassination missions do as well, but I don't think any commodity related or courier missions do anymore unless they are for wings.

That really blows, why do they lock mission-only mats behind wing missions.

The thing that sucks is that planet scan missions give you grade 5 mats, however, they grant a bounty even though they're supposed to be legal. I did 12 planet scan missions and they all stated that their beacon was malfunctioning and they want you to go scan it, to figure out what's wrong, but it gives out a bounty, which when you return to the station and turn the missions in, you're no longer able to take more missions - so after each batch of planet scan missions, you have to go to an IF, which is rather annoying.

I've done a few normal assassination missions at Shinrarta and Massacre missions at the current CG. You def have to be allied before you get the ones offering 5xG5 mats though. My fav is the solo wing assassinations. They can easily be done in a Vulture if its engineered and don't take very long at all to complete. Would certainly be nice if they'd add some more for the people that don't do combat.

Courier missions are the fastest and easiest missions conceivable. Not sure why they should give the rarest and most valuable mats as reward at all...

So we're supposed to "take wing missions and just be glad we have them". Uh no thanks Fdev. I have been having luck with the grade 5 mats taking passenger missions. Am allied with all factions in Cubeo so the selection is okay. I must say I am disappointed with the mission board; the general nerf to payout for non-wing missions and the comparatively low occurrence of those non-wing missions. I'm guessing it varies from place to place but the systems I frequent it is not promising.

Try the passenger missions.

I was getting G5 mats from solo trade missions this morning. MEF,EFC etc

Need to be fully allied with a faction that is in boom.

I've seen quite a few grade 5 mat offering massacre missions tonight. Didn't take them as massacre missions aren't really my thing, but they are out there. Solo rather than wing.

I can't complain as I did some surface prospecting and found a whole bunch of polonium. Traded down and now have over 90 arsenic to use to redo my fsds. In older times that much arsenic would have taken hours and hours to discover.

I'm in the Pleiades at the moment, helping rebuild the stations.

I'm fairly sure that I've seen plenty of G5 materials for non-wing missions. I've been picking credits rather than materials at the moment, but I'm sure there have been plenty of MEF missions this week.

Currently on the mission-board at Stargazer where I'm docked the only G5 missions are from two factions in a state of civil war:

I'm allied with most Pleiades minor factions, but only friendly & cordial with these particular ones.

I mode switched and found a couple of others with an allied faction in Boom state.

So there's plenty around, plus others for G4 materials. Not generally for simple courier missions though.

As I looked on the passenger board and every faction offered G5 materials. A couple of the passenger missions were long range tourist trips, but all the others were just around the bubble. Like this one, only 100ly of travel for a faction that I'm only cordial with:

I have had tons of short-hop boomtime delivery missions that have rewarded all levels of both Mats and Data (Grade 1 to 5).
Not bad money-wise either....when you can stack a bunch in a Cutter.
I've been working out of Cubeo for the Princess...it's good to be King ;).

OP, yes there are a few mission types which offer grade 5 mats, but they usually only spawn in factions you allied with. Still most mission offering grade 5 mats will be for wings, but you'll see occasional assassination missions and boom time delivery missions which are single hop offering those mats once you're allied. I hope Frontier doesn't nerf those too.

I've took few grade 5 reward assassination missions at the current CG station. Some were giving EFCrystals, and some MEF of what I remembered as a rewards.
