For dutch courage?

More of a Talisker man myself.
No need to.
Just stand your (g)round and open your wallet.
I heard that it is called Dutch Courage because it was only the Dutch sailors who were brave enough to deliver alcohol to the Port of London, during the great plague. The local water could not be trusted.
ACTUALLY
Dutch Courage comes from the 80 Years War or the Dutch Wars of Independence. The Queen sent British troops to assist the Dutch, however bad weather, lost battles and A lack of fighting spirit caused morale to plummet. Desertion rates went through the roof. Upon inspecting the good morale of the Dutch troops it was discovered that they had a hip flask that the troops would drink from before battle. This flask contained Genever, a Dutch malted spirit flavoured with Juniper berries. This ration was then purchased for the British Expeditionary force. This increased morale and became known as Dutch Courage.
Genever was then brought back to the British Isles and due to our inability to recreate this drink, spawned a new spirit: Gin.
