Material drop at Davs hope?

Did the change of only one material per scoop instead of the regular three at every planetary side make it into the game?
If yes, is Davs still worth it?
DTEA did not mention this in his newest upload which puzzles me quite a bit.
 
It is supposed to be 3; Adam responded in one of the threads and I thought it was fixed server side. I've not visited recently, though.

There never was an intention to do that. People just assumed their fix regarding guardian scans and other data drops was an indication of something else entirely. I remember when they made each drop give 3 mats, and they meant to do it. Reason being the grind was too much.
 
A total Goldmine. Whether one per drop or three. You do a circuit, scan the datapoint and pick up some scan data - re log and go again. It’s my exploit. I don’t tend to follow whatever may give me 30MCr per hour but whizzing around a tiny base and picking up stuff that would otherwise take systems hops and flying about in hope is just too good to pass up.

Do it until you’d rather do something else and then move on. Sometimes I’d rather hang around outside Jameson Memorial in Open and get my scans from a busy station, other times I’d like to race other Cmdrs to the free stuff and share a friendly wave before logging in to solo before seeing them again in open.

It’s a weird game but I’m definitely smitten.

It's my understanding that the datapoint doesn't reset upon relogging, for what, like 2 hours or so?

Last time I was there a week or so ago (3.0.3), the data point reset upon every relog. But it was only giving 1:1 data items instead of 3:1. I believe this was stated as being a bug, but I don't know if it's been fixed yet. I'm presuming not.
 
Well, they wanted to change it but apparently did not. You were supposed to only get one msterisl instead of three. This was stated as an intentional change.
Seriously, did you forget all the salt posts about this a few weeks ago?
I don't underdtand why they did not do this but lets not wake up sleeping dogs.
Good way for a few spare mats.

Material drop was never nerfed, or bugged, or whatever. It was, is, and presumably always will 3 per drop. Data drop (which is NOT the same as material drop!!!!) was bugged, and was subsequently fixed.

I do, it was weird. They said the nerf was intentional and people complained, then don't go along with it and say it was a bug. Then people start saying all the posts complaining about it were dumb cause it was obviously a bug, as if it wasn't listed as an intentional change. I would feel like I jumped into a mirror universe if I couldn't go back and read the notes, it has been bugging me for a while.

I was there yesterday.



  • Drops still 3 per material.
  • Data beacon inactive after first scan: on multiple relogs.
  • Improved planet surface (greyer, cooler looking)
  • Improved graphics and models in Dav's Hope base.
  • Good spread of materials including very rare's.

No - there are no Very Rare (grade 5) manufactured materials produced at Dav's Hope - lots of Rare (150 capacity) no V Rare (100 capacity).

You still need HGSS or trader for grade 5 manufactured materials.

Yes I have I managed to get 36 chemical manipulators in 1.5 hours, plus another stuff..
