Black Markets During Conflict

If a MF is in a conflict state (War) in System A, then I understand all ordinary Influence activity for the same MF in System B has no effect, other than combat related (i.e. bounty credits in System B). However, does that also extend to the Black Market the MF controls in System B - i.e. could I keep smuggling illicit goods into the BM to lower the MF's Inf in System B, or does it count for nought while the War rages in System A?

Black Markets will not work towards effecting influence, much like regular markets during a state of War or Civil War in any port controlled by the faction in such a state.

You may need to read the 3.0 patch notes, specifically this section...

I'm aware of that v3.0 change, however the MF concerned is not an Anarchy one and I'd like to use the BM to import smuggled illicit goods to undermine the MF and hopefully trigger a Retreat for it. My question was more around BM during a conflict state, but Starwolfe addressed that already.

Well, at least those that function normally won't (or shouldn't). Things start to get interesting when you have active (and thus faulty) BM's during a Lockdown that actually should disable them too. No idea if 3.0 or the subsequent patches finally eradicated this little bug though.

It'll be interesting to hear what the Hutton Truckers would've to say on the matter, because they had (or probably still have) a lot of faulty BMs in their Systems. And I am pretty convinced they aren't the only ones.

The last BM patch didn't quite work right for me. I had to Bug Report and kick and nudge it around for them to fix it manually apparently.

I am in the process of Retreating a BM-owning station so I will be able to say if the patch has fixed that problem for the future.

That's what I want to do - Retreat an MF by smuggling into and selling on its BM. But I've had to wait for a recent War in another system to come to an end (today). Currently around 7% in the system with the BM so hoping to drive that below 2% through smuggling but no idea if it's really a workable solution (plus large pop system 1bn, and everything takes time).

Minor update: Retreat went through without too much of a catch, and the Black Market has been promptly closed. Appears that patch is working as intended - no more glitched Black Markets from Retreats.

After two days of BM smuggling I've dropped the MF from 7.0% to 5.6% and then 4.8%. Let's see what Monday's tick brings.
