New guardian toys

In the description of the shard cannon turret it does not say it only functions as a turret with an active gunner on board.
Does anyone know if it works like a regular turret?

I unlocked all the Guardian toys. I equipped the turret shard cannon on my iClipper and when Thargoid Scout hunting. The turrets attacked my targets just like my turret AX multi-cannons work.

But more importantly, does it look better while its doing it?.

It looks like the guns are spaying blue fairy dust at the target. You need to be close for them to work(short range weapon), but they missed a few times since the scouts are super agile.

Probably better suited for the Thargoid Interceptors, but I don't attack them since they are non-hostile towards me.
