Title.
Will it happen? If it doesn't, will there be safe zones? I'm thinking that considering I get an interdiction attempt every time I jump, having NPC pirates sitting around like BF4 "snipers" will get lame quick.
Wondering if I'll be stuck playing solo mode until I upgrade a lot.
Personally I don't think and don't hope that there will be anything like a "no PvP" server at all. What even buggers me atm is that you can take your solo ships over into the open-for-all game. I wonder how mnay commanders think (or already are doing that) about farming a fully equipped Viper in solo mode and then bring it over to open-for-all, just to kick some butt.
I'm not much into PvP (yet, mwahahahaha), so right now I find myself solo'ing. BUT only for the reason to learn the game mechanics and learn how to act and react in certain situations (still havig trouble figuring out that heat sink/silent running stuff

)
When I'm ready I will stick to open-for-all gamemode and to be honest I am even thinking about starting a new save for that, just so I can feel the tension of being vulnerable at the start and not arrive in open play with a fully pimped Viper or Anaconda.
I think quite much of the fun of games is the tension you have by knowing that there can be something going very wrong ANYTIME thanks to player interaction.
Plus: I think fear of PK's is a bit overrated, at least when we reach the release version of the game. Imagine the millions of systems compared to the number of players (hey, I DO hope there will be millions of players going to play E: D, if not only because the dev team deserves some sweet income

).
Me, I will be jumping the gun as soon as I tested the last two ships I didn't fly yet (Viper and Anaconda). And I really will start my online-open-for-all with a fresh save.
May that be very bold or very stupid... you decide
