You should find a way to add that to one of the graphical newbie-guides. It's not advice everyone will need everyday, of course, but there are many things people will be glad to remember "hey, didn't I read about..." when they're in that particular moment of need.

Just checked, you haven't passed where I was parked on that ridge but it is close.
But it might as well be a million miles away because I don't think you will be able to get up that next cliff face.
I've just had a go and failed miserably, seeing a 59 degree angle at one point.
I even went around to the right side to see if I could get up there, which I couldn't, and then only just got back to the top where my Cobra is parked.
If you are planning on carrying along the top of the ridge you may need a lift to get to the top.
Edit: LOL he did it on his own = I'm useless!

Nick had to leave again but he was there at the right time, thanks cmdr!
And while I did jump across a canyon I did so jumping into another canyon, but not a troublesome one
Stopped for the night at -15.46/-64.45
Ahead is now the longest distance between two waypoints, its gonna be a longer drive but the terrain shouldn't cause any trouble allowing for good speed.

So far so good, now trying to stick left as good as possible all the way out
Which works out, I'm now on ground level
Next climbing the ridge, theres a good way up here

I didn't realise this was the moment of the big jump either so that was a bit of luck.
I got a bit carried away and went too close to the edge of the canyon and nearly didn't get back up.
Once I knew there was a jump happening I got back in my Cobra to record from that view point.
You can see just how small the SRV is and how massive the canyon is.

Now to today, not too much was going on it was mostly about going fast and keeping it that way
Not long after that I stopped for the day at -13.39/-84.44
Still a long way to go to the next waypoint but I can make good progress here, so I think I get there this weekend.
I like how the FDs planet generation tech created the perfect ramp at the perfect place to do the jumpWow!
At first I was like "There's no way he's going to come anywhere near clearing that without a running start!
And then I realized you made up for it by starting on top of an enormous ridge.
Absolutely breathtaking jump. Any landing you walk away from is a good one!

That canyon is nuts! Hope I get a chance to come say hi to the famous Bomba Luigi before your journey ends.

Today wasn't a very eventfull day, not much to see on the planet at this part but it lets me keep up a good pace
Current Position is -12.42/-100.15 and I should be at about the halfway point between the two waypoints.

Yesterday was another more quite two, I had two session the first of which was a bit a shorter and hapend during night
Coming back later I am greeted by the morning sun
Made halt at -12.25/-126.26
Made good progress yesterday, getting close to the next waypoint. And my starting point is about to become visable again on the planetary map, I'm getting there!

It hangs very low in the sky, making for some long shadows
But I soon have to notice that where I started the second session must have been the highest place around because I get into the dark again, bascily espacing the morning into the night! All I get is a bit of a glimmer of morning on the horizon

At some point while driving and flying about with good speed I suddenly lose ground, it appears withtout noticing it I started to jump across a canyon thats in the way here. Was flying without seeing whats below me or having anything on the srv scanner for quite a while until I finaly hit the canyon wall on the other side
With a bit of climbing and jumping I climb the rest of it and make it out
Driving some more I arrive at daylight again just when I had to stop

Today was a good day, starting my first seesion it was in the middle of the day. I got light again!
- Also, as a notice, my image upload service is having some shenningans at the moment, I hope it gets all back on track there soon but in case the images don't load properly then thats why

Coming back for my second session the sun is now on its way down
Climbing the Mountain is quite interessting and fun, but...
And as it is, what goes up has to go down! Not the biggest or most dangerous basejump, roughly 6.5km and nice easy jump down.
Driving a tiny little bit more from there I stopped at -11.50/-145.20. And my starting point is now definitly visible on the map!
I am already off course a good bit climbing that Mountain but will have to go more on the way ahead as now the detour comes next to make it past the Canyons who are in the way.

He goes by the Name of Jim Barter, interessting enough he belongs to a Faction. Looking up th Pate system its currently in a state of war and the stations attacked by Thargoids are pretty close by there, maybe he seeks shelter
His Parking skills are definitly off the roof, no landinggear touches the ground and he basicly planted the ships belly on the Bump there
Its a nice looking ship, even if it could use a paintjob
But given the name of his faction and the fact that he carries hatchbreaker limpets and FSD interdictor I decidie to better leave him alone and go away a bit from him before ending my first session lol

Being close now, there is the part on the right which is a bit higher and thats where I will aim for to start my climb

Here I reach a point where I just can't get higher, but steer right trying to reach that safe spot there. Just have to drive sidewides a bit to get there
Which sounds easy enough in theory, praxis is always a bit diffrent
But it works out somehow and get to the safe spot
There I getting higher with a lot of jumping until I reach this point, looks like a way up
And the view is already pretty great here
At first it goes really well, its as if somebody build a way up here
But getting really close to the top I reach a point which is...well, I can't really get higher up here no matter how much I try
More sideways driving it is, I hope I eventually find a point where I can get up
Luckily it doesn't take long until I reach a Point where I can drive up a bit more quite well and see this little peak I aim for
Which goes well with a bit of jumping
From here on I'm almost at the top already and don't encounter much trouble anymore, its good terrain
And I eventually made it to the top! Feels so great to enjoy the view after all the climbing

Bravo on thaf climb, and a very nicely handled base jump back down again - some really well judged and aimed for bounces there! Lovely lighting conditions today too!

Looking back, I'm not even that far away but the big Mountain already starts to hide
The terrain has a lot of up and downs at first
But it gets smoother and I get a constanstly, slightly going down for a good while helping me to get a good speed going
Some nice looking craters

Any idea when you might complete your circumnavigation? I'm away most of the week but was thinking of maybe returning to Wilson on Sunday. Would I be too late?

I think it boils down to Saturday or Sunday being the end, but its hard to say. Don't think I make it earlier then Saturday, but in that case I would still be around on Wilson on Sunday as I don't leave when I'm done. Will have to get a offical confirmation that my trip officialy is a success for the Club first (which I guess is your job
) and will then return the next day. Wanna play it safe since returning involves me exploding

Here I arrive at a canyon in its beginning stage
Crossing it is easy and only realy worth noting because I will encounter this canyon later again when I dive into him!

Then I meet up with the canyon from before
Not time to drive into him yet, the entry point is further ahead, but I can drive alongside him from here. He developed nicley on his way here!
