How many copies of Elite Dangerous do you own?

The second one was a recent purchase through Steam, because my recently purchased Pimax VR headset requires Steam VR .

Why? Well, the first four were really just that I had a huge urge to play the game from scratch (happens ones or twice every year). But, I didn't want to reset my first save... so I got a second copy, played and, all of a sudden, it became a keeper. So.. added a third and then a fourth... and now, finally, I have a 5:th account where I managed to not get too attached to the progress, so I reset it with every major update of the game.

It is quite a lot of fun to start over from scratch and apply all my knowledge of the game and see how things play out.... how fast can I get to a Python... how easy is it to earn good money early on in the game... things like that...

Yes... Elite: Dangerous is not a "game" for me... it is a hobby.

Built the whole thing, piece by piece, powered by a biomass generator. That's a massive cargo container, eager to be filled with ores, so I can make more parts, so I can build more vehicles to search out more ores to make more vehicles... ok, it's not quite like that... I build buildings too, full of machines to do other things as well, but you get the general idea.

I've made up to Cobra III after 2h spent in CZ hiding behind Security forces on my second account. Plan was to fully pimp iCourier or Python and to have fun with griefers while still maintaining low Combat rank.

But never had the time to do so.

I am stubbornly holding out hope that Frontier will one day sell me a CMDR save slot. Am I insane? Maybe... but I don’t want to buy everything again for the new CMDR.

I just can’t bring myself to purchase a full copy of everything again even though I do want a second CMDR for exploration based out of Colonia pretty badly.

For now I’ll just keep waiting, wistfully looking over the Atlantic towards the new Frontier HQ waiting for them to take my money!

Just one. I almost bought a second one, until I heard that console players get extra save slots for free. That’s a pretty awful trick to pull on PC players, if you ask me.

5. All PC. I can play two at the same time on one machine, but I usually only play one at a time.

Being able to play two at a time comes in handy if you need to fuel rat yourself. Almost had to do that yesterday.

Don't reward bad design choices like that with money by buying extra copies, because they'll associate bad decisions like that with profit and KEEP DOING IT.
