How did you engineer them? I haven’t used frags much, but I know they are king of fast kills.

Will work unless you will get a Cutter as your target. GL there without cascades.

Not that you can't just SC drop and back again, as assasinations targets change their ships and presence of escort each time you see them.

i prefer 5 frags on my python. :)
I have two incendiary MCs and three frags on my Python. Got interdicted by an elite T-10. Poor sod stood no chance. The T-10 has so much area, I am sure every single pellet hit the hull. It was done and gone in two bursts.

They dont stand a chance, be it cutter, corvette or anaconda. This weapon combo with double shot just shreds the shields under 30 sec.

I just run in and shoot the boss and ignore all else. Mission complete before my shields drop :)

And if i want i can just continue with the leftover 5 ships for mats

I am farming those missions. In a Vette.
And double efficient beams and INC hi-cap frags in everything else exept one of small which is corrosive, and even some ramming in the mix, might not be enough to burst down an Elite NPC Cutter reasonably fast.
I had to switch for cascades in the small slots for the sake of stability. Shame TTK on everything else dropped.

Maybe I have advantage in the vulture since i can use fixed and stay so close all pellets hit. 1 pip to weapons is all that is necessary :)

Seriously... Is this true? The lack of persistence of even simple things boggles the mind!

They are my current money maker. Not all too fast (about 25 mil/hour avg) but not too boring at least.
Get inside a Vette, take 17-20 of them, go into target system, find a signal/ship, get in/interdict, burst down the fattest ship you see, get out.
At least you have to manage your time and resources, some brain activity in this game for a change. If you take 20 of those missions you will have about 7 spare minutes in next 2 hours, so one pit-stop only.

And those are bugged as hell atm.[blah]
1. They are not flying Condas only. Quite cracken contrary. They respawn each time you see them, and they retain their name only. Rest parameters are rerolled. For example, when you see mission target first time, he/she can fly in a Conda without escort, being wanted. Next time, in like 2 minutes after you kill another target, he is flying in a Cutter with an escort of 6, and clean. Next time they are solo in a clean Vette.
2. And that clean status is bugged, because when you interdict them and get your fine for that, and then wait for them to attack you for them to become wanted, you will get like 300k bounty voucher on kill. This is not an assault bounty.
3. They and their escorts do not count towards any Massacre missions for some reason.
4. Those "enemies" which "had been sent after you"... Just what? Who sent them? How they know that I'm gone after their boss each fracking time? And why they say that they are about to punish you for some failed contract when I hadn't communicated with their faction at all?
And worst of all, they can interdict you same moment you complete interdiction minigame on another target, and you will drop into instance with one of those a-holes instead of a mission target you had just interdicted.
5. Oh, and yes, when you interdict your target (not get into USS), usually only one or two of escorts will attack you. Rest will just go AFK.

This is ED.

Maybe I have advantage in the vulture since i can use fixed and stay so close all pellets hit. 1 pip to weapons is all that is necessary :)

I feel like their builds can differ.

Vid or it didn't happen. ;) Seriosuly though I'd like to see it done in a Vulture.

Vulture and Viper vids have already been posted.
Don't have a liink handy but they're on here somewhere.

I'm using an FGS just to reap the mat rewards.
That's my quickest ship for those now.
Also using a Vette to limpet all the scraps but the FGS is still a bit quicker for me.

A threat 4 USS with 4 vultures is harder...using fixed multis, anyway!

I've done dozens of these assass missions with a variety of fixed weapons in my vulture. In fact, the very first one I attempted (using pacifiers) was so easy, I killed the target & then thought...hmmm, why not kill his 5 wingmates too!? 'Did that without losing my shields - 'bit of an anti-climax, really...I expected more of a challenge, tbh. :| At least the Thargoids took some time to learn the best modus operandi - I died in a FAS 8/9 times before my first kill when they first appeared.

OP? Good luck against cmdrs' engineered Cutters/Corvettes without FC or other Sandro magic.

I have a hulltank FAS armed exclusively with Double-Shot Screening Shell Frag Cannons. I called it "The Imperial Hammer".

sorry, have never done any videos and dont going to. But I can asure you I did 3 of those missions solo yesterday evening :)

The last time I asked you how you were doing these you admitted you weren't actually doing them, just trying. Remember?

Guys, I can solo wing assassinations in the FGS and chieftain (chieftain isn't fun though, kiting NPCs around isn't fun). I'm also aware of your vulture exploits Achilles (but a vid would again be nice, for learning value).

Kiario, you on windows 10? Just hit win key +g then hit record, upload it to YouTube, done. Id like to see it done with frags cos last time I tried them in pve I was underwhelmed to say the least. :)

Conda version.
Possible with cutter too, but harder. And i did not record it.

Totally suboptimal vulture too, bi-weave, full legacy 1-roll engineered (except weapons which are legacy too but i did few rolls on them) and with bunch of non-combat things like SRV and fuel scoop.
Also, i had better success with cutter later, when i tried to replace corrosive frag with incendiary. Allows one to overpower cells, which is more important than hull damage (which is much lower) in this case.

Thanks, I'll check those out.

I love my frag vulture, I honestly think that it's the best PVE combat ship/loadout in the game so long as you have the materials to keep your ammo stocked up (which is a problem, in a CZ I get about 600-750k in bonds before I'm dry).

I've not soloed one of these assassination missions in one but I can absolutely believe it can be done. Get above and close, use your thrusters and boost to stay there and let rip. Shields down in seconds.

Very nice. I'm messing about with twin plasmas on my vulture at the moment, but frags look awesome :) You mentioned the experimentals, but not the actual mods. Or does it not actually matter too much :) ?

I notice you didn't even use your chaff!
