What could be the reasons this conflict has not started? Boom?

A MF i'm experimenting with just came out of expansion (from system A to system C) some days ago, had 2 days cool down and went into Boom.

This same MF in another system (system B) has been >60% influence for several days (during expansion, and the cool down and even 2 days after the cool down), the controlling MF (non native) has been at around 10-15%, with a state of None and afaik, it is in no conflict elsewhere.

I was expecting that after the expansion cool down of 2 days the chosen MF will start a conflict because of the >60% trigger, irrespective of the Boom state because conflicts always ignore boom states, ... or not?

I more or less gurantee that you will have missed a conflict/election state or its cooldown in one or other faction - the 48 hours for election regularly catches me out and you'd think that's O'd know better by now!

Hi Jmanis: afaik I check 4 places for the status:
1) top right on the mission boards,
2) middle section of station where there is the news
3) right panel System Status
4) system maps

Hi Jane: missed you mean i missed it or the game bugged and missed it. also not sure I understand what the 48hr of election and O'd known mean. sorry! btw I'm not expecting election (corporate vs patronage)

There's a 2 day recovery time for elections. If the other faction was in an election recently, they can't have another conflict until that recovery time is over.

Sorry, based on your response it's a bit ambiguous what you're checking.

What you need to look at is this article at the top of the news listing of all stations:

Inside that article you'll find entries for every faction in the system, which report on all pending/current/cooldown states for those factions, regardless of what system it's occurring in, e.g

This is the only authoritative source of faction states in the game. 1, 3 and 4 in your list won't accurately show you all the states, pending, active or in cooldown, across all systems.

*note: not the best example, as only local conflicts are shown here... however it will show conflicts in external systems.

2) yes that's what I meant under Gal net.

and thanks for that info 1,3, and 4 not as accurate.
will double check again in a few minutes

Bingo solved, looked at the faction status summary under galnet news and found that the owners are at war in another system that was the cause of the delay!

Thanks everyone for the pointers and from now on will check this first.
