No, that is not the same. With passenger missions you still have to have the cabin space for ALL of the passengers.

For it to work like CZ and planetary scan missions used to work you would have to have it where the same 20 passengers would count for 20 different missions.

Which is why you need a T7 to make it work. Yet, this is not an unintended income source.
Devs even buffed passenger payout by reducing the amount of passengers/ mission.
Before, you had to transport not 30 but 55 for 10 to 12 mil.

Or just do Sothis mining ad infinitum in a python with its 7million CR metal runs plus 200k/mission boom data stock up. +Yawn+ . That's about 10m/10minutes with a return journey at 2-5m or so with lots of rep bonus.

Do 1st class bulk passenger missions - NOT VIP.

Head to Xi Wangda and transport 1st class businessmen, tourists or whatever bulk passengers preferrably to Widjahibiko (or however it is spelled), Donglavs or HIP 1430.

You need to get allied status for the fat stacks and you need to be able to transport 25 to 40 1st class passengers - best at least 30.

The cheapest ship that has the internal space to do this is the Type-7 as others will not offer the passanger capacity necesary.

It costs 17 mill, so you better get 20 million at least (insurance cost).

To get those first 20 mill is the challenge - for which you can do explorstian as an entry to the real money making.

At Xi Wangda (Cartier City) u can can get a single mission requesting you to transport 30 passengers requireing a 15 minutes flight - best to Donglavs, Cartan Installation, planetary side -

for 9 to 12 million credits and some G5 materials if you are allied to the respective faction.
The destination is around 120.000 ls away from the main sequence star where you jump in.

You have a lot of factions at Xi Wangda and three possible destination systems around.

You will also get a fair amount of imperial rank as three factions are part of the Empire + trade rank - Shinrarta unlock.

No to hardly boardhopping required.

Btw, this has been in the game for over half a year (at least) and is absolutely legit - no gold rush - despite me having shouted this out all over this forum several times.

So take your time and don't worry too much missing this.

Go grab your captain's hat, cram out a good netflix series and profit the biowaste out of this.

The best ship for this is a Conda.
I usually get 4 to 5 flights an hour, stacking two missions two Donglavs (best destination) and even getting missions worth 5 mil on my way back to Xi Wangda.

If I get lucky I can roll in profits of around 80 million per hour in my Conda.

The average is 50 to 60 million

I do these just as a way to refill the coffers after a major purchase such as the reactive bulkheads on the cutter. Then I go play the game again.

Well, there goes the neighbourhood.

While you're all crowding into my hometown, approach with suspicion anything that pays far too well in Donglavs, Addovichs or HIP 5840. They're binary star systems and you're probably about to be made to fly 300k+Ls to your top secret destination. Also: check out Sardgrivi for all your Interstellar Factor needs. Very handy for washing your hands after anything not entirely legal.

I'm off for a holiday in Federation space.

I'm at Cartier City, been there since last night, and all I see are missions for HIP 4310, plus the other two you mentioned.

TBH, this is only slightly good for Empire rank grinding. Parutis to Medb is more lucrative, if you can stand the 25 minute flight in Medb. Plus no issues with NPCs hunting you down.

Typo is what I did in the initial post.
Rank is just a side benefit, not the reason to this.
Credits + G5 mats is why you want to go to Cartier City.
