Kev B Motion Chair v4 - Pro update. Anyone going to the Elite Community Meet in Reading

Thanks a lot, lets hope that your outstanding work and last event will bring ED telemetry API in near future ! Many folks are interested . Rep

Absolutely amazing. I'll be giving you a call when the zombies invade. :) Any updates on that bike in the background? Suzuki right?

Thanks Globusdiablo, and yes the bike in the background is another of my mindbending creations - a 230bhp turbocharged Suzuki gsxr1216 (was 1100 but I put 'busa pistons in it). I'm off to the Isle of Man TT races on it next month. I wont mention....(ok I will) the 260bhp supercharged and nitrous oxide injected Yamaha R1 just out of sight to the left - its done genuine 201mph on an airstrip - yikes!. If they were cars they would be over 1200bhp+ each on ptw ratio.

Fly (and ride) safe!!

If the GSXR1100 (classic superbike) was a spaceship in Elite: Dangerous it would be: the Imperial Eagle?

You mean you'll be riding the Isle of Man TT? I clinch so hard while watching that stuff...

I guess a real life fly safe is in order... :)

not racing in the TT - watching, but the open roads have no speed limits so when racing is not on I get to blast top speeds in sections. I know the course really well - done it quite a few times.

Enjoy and take care.............its not like the old days 30s - 60s all over........but at least Mad Sunday is more bikes than cars over the mountain the days of cars trying to turn right, positioned to the right of the "their" lane and bikes going both sides is hopefully over.

Yes, Imperial Eagle - good comparison !

In which case let me introduce you to the destroyer. It's my Imperial Eagle with Engineered Grade 9 very-dirty drives, and a FSD that can launch from 5k with a 130k spool threshold. Sadly though large fuel tank void after 50ly (like my credits).

Now better go back on topic - lol, where did I put the key to my chair???

I will, thanks. 6th sense and all that + exp.

Bike (Edit: ah, can't use that word... all right bike corn it is then). Love it. :) What year is that frame/base engine? Incredible how they can keep going. True classics.

Sorry for going OT. Back on track, I actually convinced myself that having a VR spaceship in Elite: Dangerous was a reasonable substitute for a RL motorbike (read: cash flow) and despite the low resolution that made me sell my Vive again, I still think Elite: Dangerous in VR is the bees knees. Not sure where I'd fit that chair of yours mind. :)

1992, Gsxr m. Bulletproof (mostly). and I completely agree with the the bike/elite vr comparison. Works for me dude. Chair just makes it all more real. Elite is just great, I love it. (2500 hrs in game so far - about the same time I spent building the beasts.) May post a Yam pic or 2 tomorrow, select an elite ship
that could represent it.

:) I'm an old cod so my heart belongs to the Gixxer. Personally I can't imagine handling either sufficiently. Come to think of it I actually drove a mates 750 gixxer in to a (low- lucky for me, flew over) wall back in the day. He told me I was pulling wheelies/spinning out up through first and second before I realised what kind of beast I was on (edit: I actually couldn't feel it while on the bike. It craddled me so well...). I hit the front break and it dove like a lady in heat. Lost it and went flying. Bike was a mess up front. Didn't do much for our friendship either. Ah well. Live and learn and all that. Rode more sensible (read: old hat) bikes after that.

Can't think of a Yammy comparison for E: D. Superb bike of course from what little I know. Relatively "easier" to handle? Good lord.

2. edit: It's all coming back to me. It was a track bike meant for Knutstorp in Sweden. He took it on the road to show it off.... Can't recall if it ever got to Knutstorp.

The yam is ultra spec in all areas. Carbon fibre, titanium and goodies galore. Even remote start up. Defo comparison for ED ship -

I find the eagle a bit heavy.

I'd say it resembles the GU-97 Slf a tad better.

Yup - that's what I'd have gone for - GU-97. Nimble, lightweight, very flick-able and a good turn of acceleration and speed when you need it.
Let me introduce you to destroyer 2. Heavily engineered with ultra-lightweight shielding (loads of carbonfibre) and grade 10 FSD and clean drives (rotrex centrifugal supercharger and N2O injection). Must wear Remlok suit at all times. This baby can fold space-time and has extreme anti-gravity effects at all points during acceleration. It scares me !

Bah. I'll take the naked gsxr any day. :)

Wow, most impressed by your electrical and assembly talents.
I am 70 now and used to ride a customised FJ 1200, top speed about 243 kph, but that's another story.
But back to the chair, what is the latest, I have been dreaming of getting into a chair, even considered making one, but my electrical talents extend to fitting in a battery in its box, mechanicaly I am ok.
Would like to see an update of your work.
How did you tie the chairs motion into ED graffics?

Once again congratulations on what you have produced.
Yours Aye
