fastest way to make money?

Unfortunately I don't have any friends on elite, I'm not elite yet ,but my current assets are around 300mil (including my type 9 which costs about 100 mil) what should I do?
Probably one of:
- load the T-9 up with first-class passenger cabins and find a nice spot for bulk or VIP missions. You ideally want somewhere where there are a lot of missions to the same destination.
- buy a cheap ship and go kill skimmers for a bit in a system where there's a lot of options.
- make use of the T-9's large cargo hold to run cargo missions. Extraction economies out on the fringe should give a good selection - though finding one with a large station giving missions to other large stations may be trickier.
- buy an Asp and use its jump range to do passenger sightseeing tours (either the round-the-bubble ones, or the "famous explorer" ones)
- spend more money on better defences and mining gear for your T-9, and start searching for Painite in RES. (The RES both significantly boosts yields and gives you an anchor to be able to find the same Painite-bearing rocks quicker next time ... but you might want to stick to the low/medium ones to start with so the cops can protect you from the NPCs)
- find a system that offers lots of planetary scan missions, buy a Sidewinder+SRV, and stack them up

All of those can potentially earn you a substantial amount of money pretty quickly, so pick whichever seems most fun to you.

Fastest way to lose money in ED, purchase and A-rate a Corvette, use it for Xeno hunting.

Fastest way to make money, purchase a T9/Cutter all cargo racks, work for Haggle Beards Hero's and Aegis out in Maia.

lol so true.

I took a break from 'exploiting' and atm heading to SAG A. When I get back I'll be back to "gaming" as hard as ever!

I lost my exploration mojo after coming back from there...aint been out again since, but get the occasional itch especially with things being so depressing in the bubble atm. I got credit issues after A rating the cutter, as well as a severe shortage of mats after engineering the cheif and the cutter...and the T10 is still the half finished project that needs about half a billion to get up and running again.

Lets just assume Im upto my neck in grind atm...my choice I know, doesnt mean I gotta be singing and dancing a bloody jig either though ^

Possible in even less time with millions of donations ... if offered.

@OP: If you find a good way to make money: Don´t post it here. Everyone should announce like this: "200m/hr, PM me if you want to know how."

Because ... FD

What like this?

543mil/hr...

PM me if you want the details... Must be a legitimate player and must promise, on pain of Nerfdom, not to squeal to FDEV, or post details in a public forum (here or elsewhere) where FDev can get their sticky mits on it!

Is it legitimate to name and shame squealers? If so, I shop myself in for my post about skimmer missions... I've not been right in the head since...

Your PM box must be destroyed by now.

Forget all the "stuff you like" comments. That's not the answer to your question. Some people respond as if you asked "how should I play?"

The fastest way to make money is to look for fringe opportunities in systems where a stark contrast exists, perhaps edge of bubble systems or where only one station exists far from the main star. Haul passengers, or complete hauling missions. Killing skimmers and scanning planetary bases is also a good way, and if you're proficient at killing, you can do ok collecting heads as a assassin. CZs are lucrative but you have to be pretty decent to make it worth your time. Bounty hunting is one of the lower Cr/hr activities these days. Poke around until you find something. You might end up hauling biowaste for a few days.

I had a hard time getting those meta alloy transport missions to drop. Sweet when they did - but you have a better pipeline to RNGesus than me. I guess my years as an altar boy don't count for anything.

What kind of system gives out assassination missions primarily?

I was making a list for these things a while back but people weren't interested, I think I was only able to narrow down Dictatorships but I believe Corporate governments and possibly Feudal give those out as well. Boom and Outbreak may interfere with assassination missions. Military may be a good economy to check for terrorist leader assassinations and possibly pirate lord.

I'd get one now and then. Begging for scraps at Darnielle's isn't enjoyable.

Just keep an ear out for the latest "exploit" and do those, in between those some good ways to make money are: do wingo cargo delivery missions solo, youll need a type 9 or similar to complete it quickly. Another one is do skimmer or passenger missions.

The faster way I've found to make credits is to sell some of your ships. I made over 2 billion credits in under a minute selling two A-rated Imperial Cutters.

I feel like an idiot....I have been doing things instead of stuff. Was there a buff to stuff I missed?

I heard that there had been a nerf to the stuff that got buffed, but that not all stuff got buffed and not all buffed stuff got nerfed... Except any means of making credits. All that stuff got nerfed. It was only stuff that didn't earn any credits that got buffed, but that has probably been nerfed too, to be on the safe side. :D

If you find any stuff that got buffed but not counter nerfed, please do pm me... Long shot I know ;)

Only the FED is authorised to do that.

I made a 1.5 billion with passenger missions.
Now i don't know what to spend it on. I just play and have fun now. No more credit grinding.

It got nerfed before i got to the amount i wanted from passenger missions at smeaton

Just play... Honestly, do some Missions, trade, whatever and first of all, enjoy the game. There's no need to earn tons of credits in no time at the beginning, you'd be missing to much of the game and the rewarding feeling for getting your first better ship and whatnot. Just let it flow...

yawn

why does someone have to post this in every thread about making money?
