Newcomer / Intro transferrence of wealth

Linking to a video over 9 minutes long with no indication of what it is really about.

You took the time to make the video at least take the time to tell people that your are just jettisoning cargo and picking it up in another account.

From what I could gather, this pilot has three accounts and transferring funds between them by jettisoning imperial slaves and scooping between them. In this case, to shift 6 mil in a single run.

Of course, this says nothing of the market's slice of the pie. :D I mean, they have to be purchased by the primary account doing the jettisoning so the market gets a big cut when doing this.

hey guys so this is my dad actually playing. I thought it was impressive to be honest him utilizing 3 accounts at once. I wanted to share it. Sorry about the lack of description. He has a few other videos on there where he is doing some more intricate stuff. I know other people play some wild ways so i wanted to share it also i didnt know if what he does or the way he makes money could help others in a wing.
HUSKER222 account is mine. I havent played in over a year so i let him recently mess with it make me some money and Nistevo is his account. Originally we both had 2 accounts and would use the secondary account as a beacon mostly so we could drop in an out on that person parked at a station. collect dividends yada yada but obviously the game has changed alot since then. We started playing a couple weeks before wings were a thing.

3 accounts.... a ton of collector limpets... I'm not entirely sure why, though.

Looked around a few other threads related to this. I guess some people are masochists and open second (even third?) accounts and use this method to get the new accounts to speed. Others, it seems, help out new commanders by gifting them large sums of credits so they can similarly get into a better ship quickly. I hesitate to call it an exploit but I feel as though it takes away from the game experience. YMMV.

It's not really worth the time transferring cargo to transfer wealth as you can make money faster using conventional methods of earning money. The only time I can think that it's worth it is to hold engineering commodities, like Painite, when you have a decent mining ship in one account, but not in the other.

I recently started 2 new accounts (exploring, watching Thargoids, the usual stuff). Got them into ships I wanted within hours - a bit of knowledge about how the game works does wonders, was quite surprised how easy it was. I suppose if you don't know how to make money then transfer is an option, but as others have said, that does kinda miss the point of the game, and you can easily earn 6M in one passenger mission which and be more fun than watching limpets ferry cargo :)

And OP - if you post a vid it really shouldn't take long to write a sentence about why....

lol the last sentence mostly, Yeah i seem to of gotten that my bad. Next time i'll try to post a better description. I figured once some people watch the video anyone who plays elite would figure out what he was doing. I havent played in about a year i jumped ship to star citizen to be honest. I might come back at some point and I think thats why he wants to build my stuff up. I did most the work on my own anyways and elite has always been fun. I'll post more of his videos and if you guys have suggestions totally post them and ill post a better description and ill ask him to post a better one in the description of his videos as well.

I appreciate the feedback guys :)

I have in the past helped out newcomers by dropping cannisters of Palladium to give them a nest-egg but, like you, I have decided it probably takes away too much from their experience so have not done it for a long time.

I have multiple accounts and I have to admit to using two at the same time (different PCs though) to self-teabag for rare-goods (cigars anyone?) but I have not fed a clear-save account with goods, much preferring to experience the progression each time - it is remarkably enjoyable.

Wing missions would be a much better way to do this if you have a single wealthy account then get a T9 or similar and use it to complete wing cargo missions. The other 2 accounts then join the mission and they earn the full total when they are cashed in and all 3 accounts earn cash at once rather than just taking money from one account to another. Admittedly though the wing cargo missions are somewhat tedious even in a T9...

sorry I made the video for my kid to see. Didn't know he was going to post it on the forum. I'm doing the work so h can just have some fun with it after, thats all....

at this point its not about the money as much as it is about getting elite to access founders world sio i can let the cargo og ive been holding onto for two weeks for an engineer in founders world
