Experimental Effects vs NPCs

Heh all,

With the advent of 3.0, has anyone noticed if any of the weapon experimental effects have no affect on PVE NPCs?

Previously, a number of the one's that affected the internals (especially heat) seemed to not be effective.

Corrosive Shell, Emissive Munitions, and Thermal Vent seem to work just fine.
 
The NPC's seem to be able to regenerate shields quite fast using SB's, even though they are hit w/ Feedback rails.

The speed of the regeneration seems to be quite speedy as well.

As stated Corrosive is good at close range against hull.

They do other questionable things but they've been discussed before.
 
Agreed, my perception is they certainly see more benefit from an SCB charge than I do, and the wait between charges seems minimal. *shrug*

Scramble spectrum definitely works, you notice it most when it gets their drives and they start spinning. It's just less noticeable when it hits say, a chaff.

High Yield shell and Super Penetrator are also extremely effective in fact the only thing which I don't think works are things like Thermal Shock as NPC's have god powers with heat management (note that I haven't actually tried this myself as I refuse to have anything to do with with any heat weapon other than Thermal Vent)

High Yield Shell is not an option anymore in my opinion because of the about 50% damage reduction.

Yup, been hammering C4 High Yield Shells and was already wondering if those hit at all or not.
(naturally NPCs remained 100% combat worthy all the way down to 0% Hull as usual, a DropShip even completed to restore Shields and fired off an SCB.. 2 seconds already into its death animation xD )

Form my experience using a Sidewinder so having a long time to kill even for small ships like a Cobra Mk.III, NPCs are definitely affected by even class 1 rails with feedback cascade.
 
Those rails I previously mentioned included 2 Feedbacks and 2 Super Penetrators, the size 2's are Imp Hammers. And they still regenerate shields quite well.
