we know that there will be at least twenty-six dinosaurs in the game, but trying to figure out which ones have been left off the website is almost as tough as trying to figure out which ones we don’t know anything about. at the moment, there doesn’t seem to be any hard and fast rule at work. the website could reveal all or some of the deluxe dinosaurs or all or some of the jw:fk dinosaurs — we just don’t know.
some of my guesses on the gaps:
•between apatosaurus and brachiosaurus (gap of one) could go archaeornithomimus or baryonyx.
•between brachiosaurus and ceratosaurus (gap of one) could go carnotaurus or camarasaurus.
•between chasmosaurus and edmontosaurus (gap of three) could go crichtonsaurus, dilophosaurus, or deinonychus or something unexpected like diplodocus, dryosaurus, or edmontonia.
•between gallimimus and metriacanthosaurus (gap of two) could go kentrosaurus, maiasaura, or majungasaurus. (i’m operating on a terrible theory that what we think is a kentrosaurus might actually be a tuojiangosaurus.)
•between metriacanthosaurus and pachycephalosaurus (gap of one) could go something unexpected like microceratus, monolophosaurus, muttaburrasaurus (to keep the long-name streak alive), minmi, nodosaurus, orodromeus, ornitholestes, or othnielia.
•between parasaurolophus and stegosaurus (gap of one) could go sinoceratops or spinosaurus.
•between stegosaurus and triceratops (two gaps) could go struthiomimus, suchomimus, or styracosaurus, but at least one is left out.
•between triceratops and velociraptor (gap of two) could go tyrannosaurus and something unexpected like tsintaosaurus, tuojiangosaurus, or utahraptor.
there’s no room for allosaurus, stygimoloch, or pachyrhinosaurus in the hexagons, but that does not eliminate them from being in the game.
