PvP PvP Forum Needs PvPers as Mods

1. Breaking forum rules is breaking forum rules, regardless of the issues driving the discussion.
2. I have seen mods that understand PvP
3. That much is obvious.
4. Nothing.
5. Not your call I'm afraid.

Rules are made by people, interpreted by people, and enforced by people.

I dare say there are no mods on this forum respected by the PvP Community. This is one of the sources of toxicity around here.

Let us police our own. Trust me, it’ll make for a happier forum all around.

I'd like to see Rinzler o7o7o7 in that role. Ryan_17 or Chongobongomongo, too.

First props on accepting that it's the attitude towards the mods that is the issue. Jason's comments illustrate this nicely.
Second, you don't speak for the PvP community.

The issue isn’t the attitude towards the mods. The mods have lost the trust of the PvP Community. That’s on them being in positions of authority.

I speak as part of the PvP community, not for the PvP community, just to make that clear.

I'll mod the PVP subforum, I've done PVP so I qualify totally and nobody can raise a valid objection.

Ah but they are too involved and can't be impartial, I'll randomly lash out at posters completely equally.

Moderator selection is not vote by community. We have a internal means on when it comes to selecting moderators for our forums.

Some of the users that we had on our list got blown out the window due to...
1) moderation history, be it infractions or bans,
2) post content,
3) cannot be trusted,
4) part of a clique of users, having bias.

Which is why I've had a difficult time finding users suitable for the role, especially as a moderator for this forum.
