Why not play JPOG?
Hello. First time poster here.
Personally I would love to see a 1993-type Jurassic Park. More so than the modern take. Like some posters pointed out, this is probably the big secret that Frontier is keeping regarding Nublar. Hopefully.
Other than that, the only thing I can come up with that makes Nublar unique in this game, would be some kind of volcano mechanic. Here's hoping that's not the case.
I am still not convinced at all it is going to be the Original Jurassic Park. There are other things that are a homage like Ian Malcom and the Nedry Easter egg on the website. The fact that they are keeping it a secret means nothing as frontier is famous for being secretive.
I've only been researching this game for about 48 hours at this point and it seems the popular theory is that once you open up Isla Nublar that the original Jurassic Park styles will be able to be created. I'm hoping that not only will that open up for the current game you are playing but in subsequent games that you star, the original styles will be unlocked from the beginning. That's my hope at least!
This theory still isn't confirmed. And I'm not convinced yet. It's my second favourite outcome for Nublar, so I would be happy if it is true.
I still believe that on Nublar we will find the aftermath of the Jurassic world movie.
It's not that I don't want it to be a 1993 JP, I just believe we will maybe get a few extra buildings from the 1993 park and maybe a character from the earlier movies, preferably Dr. Grant.
For the most part we will probably looking at rebuilding Jurassic world on Nublar.
I do hope that if we succeed with a 3-5 star rating, we unlock a sandbox mode and can choose to play a new sandbox game on any island we like or even all of them, seeing that we already can switch from island to island.
Another idea that Nublar might be is that it becomes a new site B.
I have doubts that it is even true, BestInSlot kind of started it and people ran with it, with zero proof. A lot of the "Proof" is that they are being so secretive about it, but that applies to most of the game so for me that isn't enough.
All of this sounds plausible and I really hope you are right, but I'm curious to see what happens, I hope I won't spoil myself in the forums ^^
Yeah I hope so too!
I'm still not sure what to do, I like to keep visiting the forum but I want to find it out for myself.

Why would you want to rebuild Jurassic World on Nublar? That's what you will be doing in game across 5 islands. Like I said before, it makes no sense at all. Just to grind five stars on each island to unlock Nublar and just do what you did before on 5 other islands. There has to be more to it than that.
I know and I'm aware it's what we will do the entire game to unlock Nublar and I would like it to be a 1993 JP also but I would also like to have the JW buildings available.
We can have both you know if they make it a sandbox were we can choose what year we want to build in for example.
My idea of sandbox mode is maybe different from others, so let me explain.
I don't want it to be a unlimited money and unlock everything mode only, I like it to be flexible and that we can choose if we want everything unlocked or not.
I've been stumping for this since the day the game was announced. It would be absolutely silly not to include the option of using Park assets when building.
Hell, they should even create a Lost World palette, based on what we were able to see in that movie.

Michael Brookes is on the dev team and he said Universal made a point that the game has to be about the whole franchise, not just JW. Also he said they were paying a Homage to JP.
It’s been confirmed that the various islands will jump around timelines, so I’d be surprised if Nublar wasn’t either:
a) us running the original 1993 park/creating the original park
b) us rebuilding it in the aftermath of the original movie
Personally I think a) is a lot more probable based on how the interviews I watched went. If nothing else it’ll probably be an opportunity to be Hammond ourselves and create that original dinosaur park with all the buildings originally included.
I might try and dig up that interview again... just watching his face and how it lit up it’s pretty obvious that Nublar is something special, I really doubt it’ll disappoint.
