Party like it's 1993

Parents clearing out the loft have uncovered a load of old Amiga magazines starting way back in 1992.

Looks like I didn't store them that well, a lot of them are folded over.

A couple of them have reviews for a game called Frontier - Elite 2 and everyone seems quite excited by it. a 6 page review CU Amiga!

In the Amiga Format Christmas 93 issue they are wondering who will be #1 at Xmas. Take a look at the list of contenders:

Mortal Kombat
Jurassic Park
Cannon Fodder
Frontier: Elite 2
Premier Manager 2
Sensible Soccer 92/93
Uridium 2
Second Samurai
Micro Machines
The Settlers
Zool 2

Out of those I had Cannon Fodder, Frontier (obviously) and The Settlers

If anyone is interesting in the mags at all let me know before they go in the recycling.

I owned (and loved): Mortal Kombat, Cannon Fodder, Frontier: Elite 2, Sensible Soccer 92/93, Second Samurai, Micro Machines and The Settlers from that list :)

Nice find! On my recent visit to my parent's home I have also discovered lots of old Polish gaming magazines, ranging from the ones for Atari&Spectrum, through Amiga and then PC. It is the history of gaming and computer evolution and I'm glad I'm old enough to be part of it!

From 8 bit computing to 64 bit computing in less than 30 years, what an amazing achievement of the humankind!

Still play Sensible Soccer on breaks at work, using an ancient Megadrive - Office Rules: scoring from the half-way line earns you a Toffee Crisp from the vending machine! :D
