New Things in Pleiades Sector IR-W D1-55

Let's see what we know from their history with the Guardians:

  • Territorial
  • Aggressive (unprovoked attack on Guardians)
  • Plan ahead (by planing Barnacles)

But according to who? The Guardians? Are they the group consciousness now? One version of the truth and it's the absolute truth, no room for subjective opinion, or politics, or just lying about history. Those things Humans do all the time as well.

Or maybe Ram Tah? DO we know he is totally open and honest, and does not have his own, a government's own, AEGIS's own or the Club's own addenda?

All speculation on my part of course, but just pointing out the Nowhere is it started that any of information or history is actually true. That said no where is it written that it is not. Just be mindful of the possibilities. It is not impossible someone wants to think the Thargoids are always the aggressors. For all we know, the Guardians may have started it but justified there own actions by saying the Thargoids did.

Couldn't Saturn's moon Titan serve the Thargoids as an equivalent for an Ammonia world? It is cool and most of the nitrogen in the atmosphere stems from the Ammonia in its crust and it is large enough in size. ;)

This opens the possible question of whether Titan could be terraformed into an Ammonia World. I don't know enough on that topic to say, but it might be worth looking into. Another possibility could be an escalation of the conflict to the point where Thargoids aren't just attacking systems with Ammonia Worlds in. This has been seen already, since at the start they only took out small fleets of ships, then they stepped it up to attack stations with AEGIS labs, and now they're attacking stations in systems with Ammonia Worlds present. Maybe they'll step it up just to attack any system next, or systems with Earth-Like worlds to limit where we can survive?

New EE targets:

Only 2 this week:

EE#2: 9 14 22 1 4 5 18 19 secure anomolous signal detected pleiades sector od s b4 1 2a investigate urgent
EE#3: 9 14 22 1 4 5 18 19 secure anomolous signal detected pleiades sector ir w d1 55 5a investigate urgent
EE#4: 9 14 22 1 4 5 18 19 secure anomolous signal detected pleiades sector ir w d1 55 5a investigate urgent (TS52)
EE#5: 9 14 22 1 4 5 18 19 secure anomolous signal detected pleiades sector od s b4 1 2a investigate urgent (TS193)
EE#6: 9 14 22 1 4 5 18 19 secure anomolous signal detected pleiades sector ir w d1 55 5a investigate urgent

Also - take a look on eddb where the Acropolis megaship has gone :)

Ok, here are the targets, spoilered in case anyone else plans to find them. All have been confirmed via TL pointing:

pleiades sector od-s b4-1 2a (TS193)
Trocnades - Franklin Hub
HIP 15329 (INRA base)

pleiades sector ir w d1 55 5a (TS52)
Alnath (INRA base )
SPOCS 253 (Sturckow Port)

Vanguard in Ngauna (also attacked Megaship) - outpost also has a transmitter, though no TL point to it

No NHSS found so far, will probably have to ticket FD to get them to appear sometime.

Ah, now the plot thickens... Most interesting!

or all stations have transmitters, but we haven't been looking for them ....

Or just have not found them. Only their owner may know how all this came to pass, and he's in non-disclosure mode still.

In any case, my theory cannot be valid either, unless they place transmitters with and without Thargoid code which I deem unlikely. Third option would be the TL does not point to the transmitter at all, but to the destination given by the Thargoid nav system, and the transmitter (or one of them) just happens to be in the same place.

Another thread has them in Deneb Alguri (I confirmed). This is 40 Ly from Sol, at about the distance the Thargoids would have moved if we had lost LP (which we did). Which means (if they are heading for Sol, and we do lose Deneb) then they'll be at Sol next week.

And if we don't defeat the Thargoids in SPOCS (80 Ly from Sol) this week as well then that branch will move forward 40 Ly and the following weeks we will have to defeat both attacks every week.

If they are heading to Sol ;)

If

Edit: Deneb did not come from Eagle Eye, so it is looking pretty compromised. We did have it on our list of 'systems with AW near Sol', but forums found it first - nice job! Almost like things around Sol get more traffic :D

I can confirm the lack of NHSS in Alnath, HIP 15329 and Trocnades. 5-10 minutes in supercruise in each and nothing alien. Trocnades has a prison megaship (Riker class prison ship KRY-315 is the ID) that has been attacked by the Thargoids. From the ship's log, it looks like it was a surprise attack by a single Thargoid Interceptor. Here is the transcript:
Helm, get ready to go full burn as soon as the system comes back online. Until then all we can do is wait and hope it's just curious and will leave once it's scanned us.

Lots of NHSSs in Deneb Algedi. Likely target, so I stay stationed there.

Checked both Lusonda and LHS 3781 just because they are within 50 ly from LP 581-36 and have an AW, didn't see any NHSS.

Edit: Saw that there is a Transmitter at Burke Port in Daneb Algedi while I was approaching the starport. Dunno if that helps.
