I love the summer, Autumn (the fall) is still my favorite time of year something about the smell of the air. Anyways we still have some snow hanging on here but spring is here.
The trees have just come out and spring flowers are to be seen. Also I now live in Sweden and the summer is not that humid gasping for air crap the UK gets when the sun does come out.

What about those of us more acclimatised to a more Northern climate and quite happily walk around in shorts+tshirt in the UK's winter?

Reminds me of when I lived in Mobile - summer days were almost almost 99F with what felt like 99% humidity.
Up here in the Berks we'll see those temps in late July for a couple of weeks - and I'll be very happy to have my AC!

In olde days of medieval yore like, any marrying couple was given enough mead to last one moon. Believed to promote fertility and give luck, from that ritual comes the term honeymoon. Celtic mythology tells of a river of mead running through paradise but it's generally seen as being quite easy to brew, unpasteurised honey has natural yeasts in it.

I'm not looking forward to summer myself. I live in Fla and I work on roller coasters. It's already face melting outside and its only May. Lucky we get everything done early morning so I don't have to be outside in the sun in the middle of the day....unless something breaks down. But of course our shop isn't air conditioned so we have lots of industrial fans going. I don't know how anybody comes to the theme park in the summer.
One positive is my pool finally got to 80 degrees. So that's something to look forward to. Really the only thing I guess.

We had Mead at our wedding for the toasting. Also had a secret stash under the table just for me
